We both made it through the four stages of the ropes course (only 40% do so). However, we were so broken that we had to get a hotel in Flagstaff...

So I'm rewatching Breaking Bad and just got to "Better Call Saul." Even the opening scene of that episode is hilarious and Saul hasn't even appeared yet.
One of the great things about the series is the strength of the supporting characters. Saul and Mike are two of my favorites.
Skinny Pete and Badger have to be at the top of that list too.
I just watched "One Minute" (still in my original viewing, making slow but steady progress). Wow.
Ooh, YES.
This just makes me think that Linds and I should watch the first Five- seasons before the second half of the fifth comes out.
saw that. I'm hoping it is true, and I'm hoping that they can get a couple of decent prospects for him. And I'm hoping that he will do well wherever he lands. Or that he re-signs for an appropriate amount of money here.
Morneau: Aguilera Part 2?
the search for curly's gold
As long as the Twins get more for Morneau than they got for Hardy, I'm all for it.
Games Played
1. Peralta (TBR) 51
2. Johnson (BAL) 50
Lindstrom (CHW) 50
4. Fien (MIN) 49
5. Burton (MIN) 48
Uehara (BOS) 48 Duensing (MIN) 48
8. Wright (HOU) 47
Tazawa (BOS) 47
O'Day (BAL) 47
De La Rosa (LAA) 47
There are an unsettling number of Twins high on that list.
3 of the top 7? Yeah, that is unsettling.
yeah
also, Josh Roenicke is 4th on the team with 41 games pitched.
Linds was going to buy tickets for the August 17th game, but accidentally bought tickets to the August 16th game instead. So now we get aviator sunglasses. Sometimes fortune smiles on you.
Gold Cup coverage on FOX starts in half an hour (3:30/2:30C) and kickoff is 30 minutes after that. That is going to be my primary sports intake for the duration. I'll have the Twins on a secondary screen, but I doubt I'll pay too much attention untli after the final whistle.
I realize FOX has little control in the matter, but this game should be played in primetime.
I'll also be watching the Gold Cup and (mostly) ignoring the Twins.
Same here. There was a big sell-off of tickets after the Mexico loss, but the prices never got low enough for me to pick some up. I'd rather watch from home than pay 40 bucks for nosebleed seats.
It's a great day here for a soccer game though. Low to mid 60s in late July. Crazy weather.
Damn, not Holden. I feel so bad for him.
Some people just aren't meant to have knees.
That may be the saddest thing I've read in a long time.
Rich Harden is out of the Twins organization.
Soon to be an ace on a different team.
In the AL Central.
sounds like he is done pitching for the year and will give it a go next year.
Some people just aren't meant to have arms, either.

Driving East out of SBGville this morning on way to office. Get about six miles down the road and I see a vehicle on the side of the road with a guy walking toward me. Turns out it's one my best friends in the world. His wife and four kids were in the vehicle and he was walking the seven miles towards home to get a pickup. He doesn't have a cell phone, so he couldn't call anyone for help. I turned around, picked him up and gave him a ride home. I hadn't seen him in about a year... our lives have gone their separate ways. But, he will always be one of my brothers. Know what I mean?
It felt good to be able to help my old friend today.

its been about 4 days since Baltimore picked up a former Twins player: O's rumored to have interest in Morneau

Morneau for Hardy
Hmm, that is tempting...
Play Hardy at third?
They must have seen his home run yesterday.
Kevin Slowey on the DL with forearm discomfort
Such a whiner.
From Slowhand to Deadarm.
FUN!
