Game 114: Twins @ Palehose

So we swept the doubleheader. That was fun. Let's press on toward a sweep of the 'series' variety.

Today, Mike Pelfrey against somebody named Andre Rienzo. Rienzo's making his third major league start.

I predict a riot...of runs. Lots of runs. Also, lots of Twins strikeouts, but as long as they also give us the lots of runs, I'm okay with that.

  1. Dick Stockton just told me that all the twins runs in the double header came via double header.

      1. fun fact! Dick Stockton was on lead vocals for Carlton Fisk's 1975 World Series home run

  2. Ive gone down a rabbit hole on YouTube and found this gem

'the Twins are on the run in 1991'

    oh my

    1. This is Colabello's 8th game in the OF, sixth start for the Twins. In 9 seasons in the minors, he's played a grand total of 24 games in the outfield. Doumit has started 98 games in the outfield in the major leagues, so I would expect him to be better than a first baseman playing an unfamiliar position.

  3. Observations:
    1. Pelfrey sucks at pitching
    2. Our corner outfielders suck at catching fly balls

  4. So I guess we won't win a hundred games after all. We'll just have to settle for 99-63! That should still win the division, right?
