Twins: Aaron Thompson (Aragua) pitched two-thirds of an inning, giving up no runs on one hit and no walks. Edgar Ibarra (Aragua) pitched two shutout innings, giving up one hit and two walks.
Magallanes: Wilfredo Tovar (Mets) was 2-for-5 with a double. Carlos Maldonado (Washington) was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Argenis Diaz (Detroit) was 2-for-4.
Aragua: Alex Romero was 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs. Luis Maza was 2-for-4 and scored once.
The game: Aragua scored four in the first to go up 4-0. They still led 4-3 until the eighth, when an RBI single by Maldonado tied the score. It stayed tied until the tenth, when Alex Nunez walked, went to second on a bunt, and scored on a two-out single by Guillermo Rodriguez.

Twins: Eduardo Escobar (Anzoategui) was 1-for-4 with a triple and scored once.
Anzoategui: T. J. McFarland (Baltimore) pitched three shutout innings, giving up two hits and no walks.
Zulia: Ender Inciarte (Arizona) was 3-for-4 with a double, scoring three times and driving in two. Dwayne Pollok struck out four in three shutout innings, allowing two hits and no walks.
The game: Zulia led 2-0 after three, then scored four in the fourth to put the game out of reach. Inciarte had a two-run single in the inning and Mark Minicozzi (San Francisco) had a two-run double.

Caracas: Carlos Perez (Houston) was 2-for-3 with a double. Johnnie Lowe (Milwaukee) struck out five in three innings, giving up one run on two hits and a walk.
Margarita: Breyvic Valera (St. Louis) was 2-for-3. Eric Berger (Houston) pitched four shutout innings, allowing three hits and a walk with two strikeouts.
The game: The game's lone run came in the fourth, when Richardson led off with a walk, went to third on a single, and scored on a double play. Caracas got the tying run to second in the eighth on a one-out double.
