Sorry I missed this game yesterday, but it was not on the schedule.  One of the frustrations of following winter ball is that accurate information on rosters and scheduling is hard to come by sometimes.

CIBAO 11, ESCOGICO 2 IN CIBAO

Twins:  Jorge Polanco (Escogido) was 0-for-4.

Escogido:  Brennan Boesch was 1-for-3 with a walk and a double.

Cibao:  Jonathan Diaz (Boston) was 4-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in three.  Moises Sierra (Toronto) was 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, and a home run (his third), scoring three times and driving in two.  Jeff Mandel (Washington) pitched four innings, allowing one run on three hits and one walk with two strikeouts.

The game:  Cibao scored five in the third and was never threatened.  They got two doubles, an error, two walks, a hit batsman, and a two-run single in the inning.
