I enjoyed that.
Glad to hear it. As I alluded to up top, his record is really good. A mix of rockers with a few gorgeous ballads, the guy has a wonderful way with melody. Almost played this cut instead. (That's Ty Segall playing lead acoustic on this one.)

Good stuff. "Shout It Out" made my summer mix.
Suffers from one ill-placed cussword in the chorus, but I don't think my wife or kids have noticed.
Reminds me of the garage-pop joys of the Breeder's Last Splash, with some of the lackadasically simple ease of the Shins (even if they never changed my life), but with a bit more punk "Oomph!".
Yeah, I lived for Charles Aaron's singles reviews in Spin in my youth.
Shout it Out is another gem from that record--funny, the cuss word never really jumped out before you mentioned it. Sh!t.
I linked to the "official" video of Peace of Mind a couple weeks ago, because 1.) it's an excellent song, and 2.) because it features 90's alt rock heart throb Mary Timony from the band Helium. Getting old is a helluva thing.
Just a little bit of Matthew Sweet mixed with frank black in his voice. I totes enjoyed these clips.
Me too - listened/viewed last night but I can't get myself logged into the WGOM on my "smart" phone so I couldn't comment or vote.
Great pull bootsy.
Ooh, Matthew Sweet. That is an excellent comparison.
Of course you jogged my memory with your link the other day.
