Twins:  Danny Santana (Aguilas) was 1-for-4.

Licey:  Arismendy Alcantara (Cubs) was 2-for-4.  Dee Gordon (Dodgers) was 2-for-5 with an RBI.  Chris Narveson pitched six innings, giving up one run on six hits and one walk with five strikeouts.

Aguilas:  Juan Perez (San Francisco) was 2-for-5 with a double and a run.  Lorenzo Barcelo pitched six shutout innings, allowing four hits and no walks with two strikeouts.

The game:  Wilin Rosario (Colorado) singled to put Aguilas ahead 1-0 in the third.  Gordon singled in the seventh to drive in the tying run for Licey.  Licey scored the go-ahead run in the tenth on a single, an error, a fly out, and a ground out.

ESCOGIDO 4, ESTE 3 IN ESCOGIDO

Twins:  Jorge Polanco (Escogido) was 0-for-4.  Deibinson Romero (Escogido) was 2-for-2 with a walk and a double, scoring once.

Este:  Jose Ramirez (Cleveland) was 2-for-3 with a walk and two doubles, scoring once.

Escogido:  Freddy Guzman (Tampa Bay) was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.  Joel Carreno (Toronto) struck out three in two shutout innings, allowing one hit.

The game:  Este scored one in the second and two in the third to go ahead 3-0.  Escogido came back with two in the fourth and Guzman doubled in two in the fifth to give Escogido a 4-3 lead.  The last fifteen Este batters were retired.

CIBAO 8, ORIENTE 3 IN ORIENTE

Cibao:  Moises Sierra (Toronto) was 2-for-5 with an RBI.  Carlos Peguero (Seattle) was 1-for-4 with a walk and a three-run homer (his second), scoring twice.  Rudy Owens (Houston) pitched six innings, giving up one run on three hits and one walk with five strikeouts.

Oriente:  Felix Pie (Pittsburgh) was 3-for-4 with two doubles and a triple, scoring once and driving in one.  Francisco Samuel struck out two in two shutout innings, allowing one hit and no walks.

The game:  Cibao got three in the first and four in the fourth to take a 7-1 lead.  Peguero hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning.
