OBREGON 4, GUASAVE 3 IN OBREGON
Guasave: Â Eduardo Arredondo was 3-for-4 with two runs. Â Leonardo Heras was 2-for-4. Â Jose Rodriguez was 1-for-3 with a home run (his third) and three RBIs.
Obregon: Â Sergio Contreras was 2-for-3 with a walk. Â Arturo Lopez struck out ten in seven innings, allowing two runs on six hits and no walks. Â Donald Lutz was 1-for-3 with a two-run homer, his second.
The game: Â Guasave scored two in the first to go ahead 2-0. Â Obregon scored one in the fourth and took a 3-2 lead in the fifth on a two-run homer by Lutz. Â Guasave tied it in the eighth on a sacrifice fly, but Carlos Valencia homered to put Obregon back in front 4-3. Â Guasave went down in order in the ninth.
MEXICALI 7, HERMOSILLO 3 IN MEXICALI
Hermosillo: Â Jose Aguilar was 3-for-4 and scored once. Â Yunesky Sanchez was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, his fifth. Â Heber Gomez was 2-for-4.
Mexicali: Â Ricky Alvarez was 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run. Â Oscar Robles was 2-for-4 with a run. Â Oscar Verdugo struck out four in two shutout innings, allowing two hits and no walks.
The game: Â Mexicali scored one in the first and five in the second to take a 6-0 lead. Â Hermosillo closed to 7-3 in the fourth. Â Hermosillo put a man on base in all but one of the remaining innings.
LOS MOCHIS 10, CULIACAN 4 IN LOS MOCHIS
Culiacan: Â Maxwell Leon was 2-for-4 with a home run, his second. Â Humberto Cota was 1-for-3 with a two-run homer, his third.
Los Mochis: Â Saul Soto was 2-for-4 with a home run (his fourth) and two RBIs. Â Juan Carlos Gamboa (Mets) was 2-for-3 with a walk and a home run (his second), scoring twice and driving in two. Â Francisco Cordova struck out six in five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks.
The game: Â Los Mochis scored three in the third to go ahead 4-0 and got five more in the fourth to make it 9-1.
NAVOJOA 10, MAZATLAN 3 IN MAZATLAN
Navojoa: Â Fernando Flores was 4-for-5 with a triple, scoring three times and driving in three. Â Jon Weber was 4-for-4, scoring once and driving in three. Â Wes Bankston was 3-for-5 with a double and scored once.
Mazatlan: Â Henry Mateo was 2-for-4 with a run. Â Julio Montoya pitched two shutout innings, allowing one hit and no walks.
The game: Â Navojoa scored four in the third and three in the sixth to take a 7-0 lead. Â Mazatlan got all three of its runs in the bottom of the sixth. Â Navojoa responded with three more in the seventh.
