Daniel Ortiz leads Mayaguez to a win. A good day for Kennys Vargas, too.

Twins: Daniel Ortiz (Mayaguez) was 1-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in one. Kennys Vargas (Mayaguez) was 2-for-3 with a walk. Nelvin Fuentes (Mayaguez) pitched a perfect inning.
Mayaguez: Luis Figueroa was 2-for-4 with a double. Matt Magill (Dodgers) pitched four innings, giving up one run on two hits and two walks with four strikeouts.
Ponce: Rubi Silva (Cubs) was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Taylor Stanton struck out six in 3.2 scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit and one walk.
The game: Ortiz hit an RBI double and scored on a Chris Curley (White Sox) single to give Mayaguez a 2-0 lead after three. Each team scored one in the fourth. Ponce got the tying run on base with one out in the eighth.
SANTURCE 5, CAGUAS 3 IN SANTURCE
Caguas: Luis Cruz (Houston) struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up no hits and one walk.
Santurce: Jeff Dominguez was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs. Derrick Robinson was 2-for-4 with an RBI. James Houser struck out five in 5.1 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and one walk.
The game: Santurce scored three in the fourth and two in the fifth, with Dominguez hitting a two-run double in the latter inning, to take a 5-0 lead. Caguas got both of its runs in the sixth and sent the tying run up to bat in that inning.
