I was going to set this up, but I was too lazy.
hey sean, why is it when I click on some of the later links in the sidebar for yesterdays C'oC, it takes me to hungry joe's cheddar cheese coffee video?
I was getting that too.
That's just the site telling you where you should go rather than just letting you go wherever you want.
I think it could do a better job telling me where I should go, and it probably should tell me how to get there, too.
It should probably tell you where to get off, too.
Does every link have the page end up in the same location?
Edit: Also, do you get the comment edit plugin for every comment? That is, not the gray edit link in the comment metadata but the one above the Reply link?
If I click any link to a comment in the sidebar, the site loads at that comment, then quickly jumps back up to the YT vid.
I have both ''Edit" links on all comments.
Huh.
Trying it in Chrome I can't reproduce that behavior, but it did jump to the YouTube video the first load. That doesn't happen in Firefox.

I'll let you know after I've clicked every link. sheesh, typical helpdesk
😛
btw, I am using Chrome
I have to keep you busy to give me a break somehow.
It happened to me at home on Chrome.
It does not happen at work on Firefox.
Not happening now at home on FF. Was happening at work on FF yesterday (and on my phone? can't recall for sure)
Can we make BKAC sticky or one of the main six? For people who can't listen same day I can see it getting lost easily.
One of the things I'd intended to talk about in my BKaC was RSS. I don't know how many folks here use it, or don't currently use it but might be interested in what it offers. I'm happy to write a post on RSS as a seed for discussion.
I could probably use RSS for more, I definitely haven't optimized my use of it much.
I just have my Outlook grab some feeds (looks like about 30, but some are dead, like Posnanski at SI.com).
For the WGOM, I typically use them when I'm catching up over an absence.
Given that it's tied to my work e-mail manager, I only use them at work or when logging in from home.
When I use the work loaner laptop, I now make sure that I close my outlook before connecting to the remote connection, or else all of the old entries are duplicated.
Using Outlook, I haven't been able to synchronize home and work utilization of RSS.
I tried Google Reader once and that was not very usable for my purposes. I like having separate folders.
RSS is awesome. Too bad everyone forgot how awesome it is. Browser support is mostly hidden now.
I'd rather see BKAK on the right column instead of the videos
BKaC are much less frequent than videos. Do we want to dedicate that much real estate to something that comes up every (hopefully) few weeks?
i'm thinking that increased exposure of better know a kitizen isn't really his end goal 😉

What gave you that idea?
FWIW, I like the videos just fine where they are.
I don't mind the videos on the right. They're just a pain on the mobile site, as you have to scroll through all of them to get to recent comments. Other than, the mobile site rocks.
Hmm, this seems like a bug in the widget. In the (phone) mobile view, the content in posts is hidden but the content in the widget isn't. This might be an easy fix.
Left-hitting corner OF/1b/DH types currently on the roster:
- Mauer
- Arcia
- Doumit (a switch hitter, yes, but look a the splits)
- Parmelee
Right-hitting corner OF/1b/DH types currently on the roster:
- Willingham
- Plouffe
- Colabello
Switch-hitting corner OF/1b/DH types currently on the roster:
- Vargas
Consider that market cornered, TR.
I wouldn't cry if Parmelee didn't get any at bats this year.
There's never any harm in minor league deals with spring invites. If he regains his stroke, it just means more of a bench role for Doumit unless Willingham or Arcia are hurt or struggling. I'm also hoping this means the Twins are thinking more along the lines of a 12-man pitching staff. I think the days of 11-man pitching staffs for the Twins at least are gone.
My point is that if the Twins are allocating 5 or more spots on the 25-man to cOF/1b/DH guys, plus running Plouffe out there at third, they have created a significant roster crunch even before they start carrying 12 or 13 pitchers.
And one of those (Mauer) had better be as close to everyday as possible.
If Willingham and Arcia also aren't playing close to every day, scoring runs will remain a significant problem.
Which Willingham, last year's? Or the year before? 'cause one of them is a significant problem.
Willingham was doing fine - a .944 OPS through April - before he tried to play through that injury. With luck and all the time to heal, hopefully he'll get back to where he was.
Sounds like a significant problem to me. I'm hoping he doesn't have to Torii it this year, too.
I'm glad to see it - 31 is still pretty young and I always liked this guy.
The Cubs have apparently claimed Liam Hendriks off waivers. Good luck to him. Sometimes going somewhere else and getting a fresh start can be the best thing that happens to you.
Amen.
There are some really cool photos here in a blog post about what it's like to shoot an NFL game in the snow.

Using RSS is another way to follow it.
I'd second it too, even seeing the RSS response.
In discussions with the steering committee.

Oh, that's some good stuff.
This explains a lot about the Twins off-season moves:

new Twins player autographed baseball card acquisition
Luis Tiant
I read this as Luis Taint...and snickered. Goodness, I'm still a teenager sometimes.
And now so did I..and so did I
An awesome piece on Kevin Love from SI.
The last line of that article: "He just did the little things over and over, until they added up to something big."
Any Twins fan knows that it's the little things.
If the Rays moved to Montreal, I think I'd have a new second-favorite team.
I'd purchase a cap post haste. Montreal is very high on my places to visit.
One of the highlights of living in the Greater DC area is getting to see Ovechkin play on a regular basis.
My alarm just woke me in order to start smoking a brisket for festivus. I may have bit off more than the webber can chew. We'll see in 14 hours.
