The game; Leon singled in a run for Culiacan in the top of the second, but Navojoa came back with four in the bottom of the second and was never threatened again. Jose Guadalupe Chavez hit a two-run homer in the inning. Navojoa added a run in the third and Lindsey hit his two-run homer in the fifth.

Hermosillo: Luis Alfonzo Garcia was 1-for-2 with two walks and a home run (his ninth), scoring twice. Daryle Ward was 1-for-3 with a two-run homer, his third. Hector Galvan pitched 6.1 scoreless innings, giving up four hits and three walks with three strikeouts.
Guasave: Japhet Amador (Houston) was 1-for-4 with a home run, his third. Jesus Cota was 1-for-1 with a walk and a double. Leonardo Heras was 1-for-2 with two walks.
The game: Ward's two-run homer gave Hermosillo a 2-0 lead after two. Garcia homered in the sixth to make it 3-0. Guasave got single runs in the eighth and ninth and had the tying run on base with two out in the ninth.

Mexicali: Chris Roberson was 2-for-4 with a double. Oscar Robles was 2-for-5 with three RBIs. Marco Antonio Duarte struck out four in 4.1 scoreless innings of relief, giving up two hits and two walks.
Los Mochis: Sandy Madera was 2-for-3 with a walk and a double, scoring once and driving in one. Yancarlo Angulo was 2-for-3 with a double and a run. Tomas Solis pitched six shutout innings, allowing six hits and two walks with five strikeouts.
The game: Ramon Orantes doubled in two in the first to give Los Mochis a 2-0 lead. They added a run in the second on Madera's RBI double and one more in the fourth when Juan Carlos Gamboa (Mets) singled in a run. Mexicali got on the board in the seventh and cut the lead to 4-3 with two in the ninth. They had the tying run on first with one out in the ninth but could do no more.
OBREGON 3, MAZATLAN 0 IN MAZATLAN
Obregon: Sergio Contreras was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, his fifth. Alfredo Amezaga was 1-for-3 with a double, scoring once and driving in one. Arturo Lopez (San Diego) pitched six innings, giving up three hits and one walk with three strikeouts.
Mazatlan: Henry Mateo was 2-for-4. Jeremy Acey was 1-for-4 with a double. Walter Silva pitched a complete game, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk with three strikeouts.
The game: All three runs scored in the third inning when Amezaga doubled in one and Contreras followed with a two-run homer. Mazatlan had men on first and third with one out in the third and on second and third with two out in the ninth.
