Australian Audit: Game of 12/18

Lewis Thorpe started the all-star game.

WORLD ALL-STARS 6, TEAM AUSTRALIA 0 IN MELBOURNE

Twins:  Logan Wade (Australia) started and was 0-for-2.  Lewis Thorpe (Australia) started and pitched a scoreless inning, giving up no hits and one walk with one strikeout.  Sam Gibbons (Australia) retired the only man he faced.

World:  Joey Wong was 2-for-2 with a run and an RBI.  Brandon Tripp was 1-for-3 with a walk and a double, scoring once and driving in one.  Joey Rickard (Tampa Bay) was 1-for-4 with a walk and a run.

Australia:  Ryan Dale pinch-hit and was 1-for-1.  Australia had only four hits in the game, all singles, and drew no walks.

The game:  It was scoreless until the fifth, when a two-run single by Ryan Casteel capped a three-run inning.  The World added two more in the sixth on a two-run single by Joe Sclafani and got one last run in the ninth.  Australia's biggest threat came in the second, when they opened the inning with two singles, but they only got runners to first and third.
