One of a handful one Christmas tunes that doesnt want me to smash the radio with a baseball bat.
I've got a couple more up my sleeve. I can generally listen to anything, but endless x-mas tunes on the work radio and no beer make meat something something. Don't mind if I do.
Mrs. Runner has a Christmas station on from mid-November on, and today was the first time I had to change it. No idea who it was, but although I'm sure she had a beautiful voice, she would not hold a pitch if her life depended on it. "Star Spangled Banner" syndrome.
There's a Paul Mccartney (wings?) Christmas song that is a perfect horrible earworm and just the song title can get it lodged in my head for weeks. I'm fighting it right now. Don't think iof the title don't think of the title don't think of the title don't think of the title.
Whenever I hear the start of it I do everything in my power to change the station or scream or run away.
I Christmas shop with my iPod.
you must mean this song.
Oh, that's a wicked burn.
Thank you for your kindness.
"Simply Having a Wonderful Christmastime"?
If it's that one, then my wife agrees wholeheartedly. It's her least favorite holiday song by far.
The kids have been insistent. The Pandora station is pretty horrible; I had to institute a No 12 Days of Christmas rule. But The Current's kids' stream is pretty okay.
I'm feeling very "bah, humbug" about Christmas music this year - even more so than usual. Even the Christmas songs I usually enjoy are hitting all the wrong receptors in my brain. I'm finding that it's a lot easier to pick out Christmas songs I detest, rather than the ones I enjoy.
For all my dislike of Christmas music, I just KNOW that Linds will insist on the Yule Log tomorrow morning. "I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas" will be played at least twice, and both times will make me want to create Dioxygen Difluoride so that I can burn/melt/explode the TV into oblivion.
I nearly went FOOF all over the work radio yesterday. Why I'm subjected to top 40 and the same 4 christmas tunes on heavy rotation when we have WWOZ I just don't know.
