It's parade season in New Orleans, and that means marching bands. Here is the St. Aug Marching 100 not marching, but they are pretty much killing it.

Maybe "killing it" in a difference sense than what you meant. Loud and sloppy.
well, your millage may vary. I'll say that after 3 of miller's finest beers st. aug is pretty good any day of the week, sloppy or no.
Oh, definitely. This is what happens when you put a marching band in a pep band situation, though. More entertainment than precision. Been there, done that.
they are pretty much killing it.
you forgot the #pmki tag.
that's a lot of low brass for a high school band. For a school of ~1600 kids, we have, I think, two tubas, 3-4 trombones, and 1-2 euphoniums/baritone horns in our pep band (which is everyone in any of the bands).
Yeah, in my high school experience, there was no distinction between Pep/Concert/marching/etc bands. There was a band, and it included Middle Schoolers.
I was only in it until I got to high school. I played the French Horn. To a draw, on good days.
Later, in scouts, I played bugle. I was a bit better at that without any training. Tells me I should have picked up trumpet instead. But I loved the look of that giant bell.
I played French horn as well. Haven't played it since college, though. Doubt I could even get much of a sound out of it now.
I just played this morning; the arrangements were pretty decent, and the ensemble got a lot of kudos, including from the choir.
You had a chance to see them at the tournament of roses parade, doc. Tipitina's Foundation provides instruments to schools who can't afford them in order to promote youth engagement in New Orleans music scene. It's really something special to see a HS marching band in their first carnival parade, even if they're not totally together musically yet.
Euphoniums present!
