I took off work today. The family and I going to Underwater Adventures at the MOA for a homeschool behind-the-scenes tour.
Combine that with a Lent and I wish you all a happy and musical Fishday!

One of my favorites
"The Package" always seems a unique song to me. It manages to feel really long while still being really good. It's like this meandering idea of a song that occasionally finds its power stance and just goes. Anyway, I like it.
Me too. I had my iPod in my backpack and spent the whole song trying to place it. I kept thinking,
"That's Tool.
...
No it's not.
...
God, that has to be Maynard; I'd know that voice anywhere.
But this isn't Tool ...
What the Hell am I missing?"

I don't think it's possible for me to sing along with JT without doing a "falsetto"* to match him.
*I use any technical singing term to describe what I do very loosely.
*I had the same thing happen when I listened to a lot of Beck.

But would it be, "Hey, Rad list dude!" or "Heh. Rad list dude."
"Annie Clark...of The Vincents?"

Apparently, this collective turned up unannounced at St Vitus--a 350 capacity club--later in the evening. Along with Annie, they were joined by Joan Jett, Kim Gordon, J Mascis and others. That might've been pretty fun.
