It went well. I noticed HPR fading a few times but nothing too bad.
Stetson played a new song with Sarah Neufeld (the opener) that was so many different kinds of awesome.
Oh, and a new Bobby Bare Jr CD showed up in the mail!

*Notes:
3. Anyone else listen to this Twin Cities band? I've tried them after several recommendations and I can't really get into them. To me it's like what if Glenn Danzig led some Americana-tinged band heavy on drums.
5. Radiohead cover. Online-available free EP of covers recorded at home.
3. I saw them at the Pizza Luce Block Party a few years ago and hear them on the Current from time to time and have always been underwhelmed. Being loud just for the sake of being loud isn't being edgy or interesting.
Pretty much describes my attitude toward 4OTF too. Also Will I may have spilled beer on you at that Pizza Luce Block Party. I was kinda hammered.

Today's musical discovery: an animated video for Courtney Barnett's song "Anonymous Club." I wouldn't have associated this song with monsters, but . . . okay.

I've been digging Kye Kye lately - specifically their song "Honest Affection" (though the rest of the Fantasize album is also quite solid). Think Some amalgamation of M83 and CHVRCHES.
Other than that, I've been trying to find a good entry point with the new Hold Steady and not entirely succeeding. I know Heaven Is Whenever has a bad reputation, but I enjoyed it from about the third listen on (and there were a few fiery awesome tracks on it). Teeth Dreams really just hasn't clicked yet. The highs seem lower, and the lows seem... almost boring. I will say that "Oaks" is plenty great, though.
