ROCHESTER 5, CHARLOTTE 2 IN CHARLOTTE
Batting stars: Deibinson Romero was 2-for-4 with a home run (his fourth) and three RBIs. Eric Farris was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs. James Beresford was 2-for-4 with a double and a run.
Pitching stars: Logan Darnell struck out six in 6.1 innings, giving up two runs on five hits and two walks. A. J. Achter pitched 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up two walks with one strikeout. Ryan Pressly pitched a perfect inning.
Opposition stars: Marcus Semien was 1-for-2 with a home run and two walks. Andy Wilkins was 1-for-4 with a home run, his tenth. Tyler Saladino was 2-for-4 with a triple.
The game: A pair of singles and an error put Rochester on the board in the first. Wilkins homered in the fourth to tie the score at one and Semien homered in the fifth to give Charlotte a 2-1 lead. Romero answered with a home run of his own in the sixth to tie the score again. Farris and Beresford led off the eighth with back-to-back doubles to put men on second and third. Romero singled in the go-ahead run, a run scored on an error, and Chris Colabello singled in a third run to give the Red Wings a 5-2 lead. The Knights did not get a hit after that.
Of note: Brad Nelson was 1-for-4. Colabello was 1-for-2 with two walks and an RBI. Pedro Florimon was 0-for-4.
AKRON 5, NEW BRITAIN 3 IN NEW BRITAIN
Batting stars: Tony Thomas was 2-for-4 with a double and a run. Reynaldo Rodriguez was 1-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in one.
Pitching stars: Cole Johnson pitched a perfect inning with a strikeout. Matthew Summers pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts.
Opposition stars: Ronny Rodriguez was 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Alex Lavisky was 1-for-2 with a triple and a walk, scoring once and driving in one.
The game: Joe Wendle hit a two-out two-run triple in the third to give Akron a 2-0 lead. New Britain did not get a hit until the fourth and did not score until the sixth, when Thomas hit a two-out double and scored on a Nate Hanson single to cut the lead to 2-1. The Rubber Ducks then scored three in the seventh, highlighted by Lavisky's RBI triple, to take a 5-1 advantage. Rodriguez and Kyle Knudson hit RBI doubles in the seven to keep the Rock Cats in the game at 5-3. They had the tying run on base in that inning, but a force out ended the threat and New Britain did not get the tying run on again,
Of note: Brad Boyer was 1-for-4. Hanson was 1-for-4 with an RBI. Kennys Vargas was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run. Starter Taylor Rogers pitched seven innings, giving up five runs on eight hits and two walks with four strikeouts.
FORT MYERS 8, TAMPA 0 IN FORT MYERS
Batting stars: Jorge Polanco was 2-for-2 with a double and three walks, scoring three times. Adam Brett Walker II was 3-for-5 with a run and three RBIs. Stephen Wickens was 3-for-4 with a walk, scoring once and driving in one.
Pitching stars: Jason Wheeler pitched seven innings, giving up two hits and two walks with five strikeouts. Mason Melotakis struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up a walk.
Opposition stars: Cito Culver was 1-for-2 with two walks. Phil Wetherell struck out three in two shutout innings, allowing a hit and a walk.
The game: Fort Myers jumped out early, putting together a double and four singles to take a 4-0 first-inning lead. Two walks and two singles led to three more in the fourth, and three walks and a single produced another run in the sixth. Meanwhile, Tampa did not get a hit until the fourth and only once, in the fifth, got a man past first base. In that inning, a single, a walk, and a wild pitch put men on first and third with one out, but a popup and a strikeout ended the inning.
Of note: Eddie Rosario was 2-for-4 with a walk, scoring twice and driving in one. Dalton Hicks was 0-for-3 with an RBI. Max Kepler was 0-for-3.

DSL WHITE SOX 9, DSL TWINS 8 AT DSL WHITE SOX
Batting stars: Jorge Parra was 2-for-4 with a triple and a walk, scoring twice and driving in three. Jorge Andrade was 3-for-4 with a triple, scoring twice and driving in one.
Pitching stars: Johan Quezada struck out three in 2.2 scoreless inning, giving up two hits and four walks. Argenis Silva pitched a scoreless inning, giving up a hit with one strikeout.
Opposition stars: Anderson Tejada was 2-for-2 with two walks, scoring once and driving in two. Carlos Mejia was 0-for-3 with three walks and three runs.
The game: It looked good early, as a Parra bases-clearing triple highlighted a five-run first for the Twins. The White Sox got one in the first and two in the second to cut the lead to 5-3. Andrade tripled and scored in the fourth to make it 6-3, but the White Sox tied it in their half of the fourth, aided by an error and a two-run single by Maiker Feliz. The White Sox took the lead in the fifth, as six walks produced three runs to give them a 9-6 advantage. The Twins came back in the ninth, scoring twice on a single and four walks to trail by 9-8. They had the bases loaded with one out, but a strikeout and a fly out ended the game.
Of note: Emmanuel Morel was 0-for-5 with a walk, scoring once and driving in one. Robert Molina was 1-for-6. Eugenio Diaz was 1-for-4 with a walk and a run. Starter Robener Cabrera pitched two innings, giving up three runs on four hits and two walks with two strikeouts. The teams combined for twenty-three walks, with Twins pitchers giving up twelve and White Sox pitchers allowing eleven.
