Just a reminder that I kicked everyone's asses last World Cup because I'm not going to do it again! On the fantasy league (with the 11 players and salary cap), I finished in the top 60 in the world on ESPN.com out of 4,000,000+ entries. All thanks to Forlan, Villa, and Wesley with a slight dosage of Tshabalala getting me a couple of very cheap goals. Also, my anti-France and anti-Italy stances were quite helpful.
Do I have to provide a genetic sample and all my bank account numbers to join this Yahoo event?
No, but you have to check the box next to "I agree that Google is evil."
Hmm... I already flexed my considerable soccer prognostication skills with the EPL contest. Do I dare show everyone up again?
...sure, why not?
Doing some cursory research, I didn't realize Arshavin was left off the Russian roster.

After completing my picks, it turns out I have very little faith in the CONCACAF representatives.
If this was discussed elsewhere today, my apologies, but it seemed appropriate for this post:
Does the 17th-most-promising burrito in California deserve to go in ahead of the best one in Alabama? For now, California looks like the grupo burrito de la muerte — but we’re curious to see whether it completely dominates the tournament or winds up being overhyped.
I'm in with my picks based on how good these teams were 4, 8, or 12 years ago.
Bosnia wasn't in any of those, so I have them being shut out. Can't remember if I picked them for a nil-nil draw though.
Since random.org won me the Frozen Four tournament, I decided to go with it this time as well. When Cameroon beats Brazil, I'm going to look like a genius.
Are we supposed to pick the score of the game, too? Cuz that seems like a lot of work.
In the group stages, you get 2 points for the correct result W/D/L and 2 more points if you nail the score, so if you don't think the ROI on your time v. the points on the table is worth it, you can definitely skip doing the score.
1-0 could happen quite a bit, so I don't know if changing what I got would be all that productive.
Just to make sure I'm not screwing something up... we'll have to pick the knockout picks after they're actually set (unlike the NCAA tourney pick 'em)?
Also, we can change our first round picks for each game up until 5 minutes before the game starts?

Yes, on both counts.
