A major league baseball game is scheduled to take place tonight at 7:10 post meridian, central daylight savings time, in downtown Minneapolis, MN. Two teams of 25 players each, the Kansas City Royals and the Minnesota Twins, will contest the game to determine a winner and a loser at Target Field. Each team will designate a starting pitcher, with the Royals selecting Jason Vargas and the Twins electing Trevor May. Play ball!

oooh, Joe Mauer got mad.
Looks like he had reason.
Gardy ejection watch- +1!
And Gardy is gone. for saying "check the ball!"
Well, this game is off to a weird start.
The Twins aren't behind yet after three innings?
And now its raining.
Hopefully Vargas pitches as well as Milone did in the rain.
According to ESPN, Johnny Manziel is Derek Jeter
sigh
I hope that means he's retiring?
Is it me, or does Joe Mauer look more fluid, more natural playing first base since coming back from the DL?
I thought the same thing. I'm intruiged by this "not hurt" Mauer, and wish to subscribe to his newsletter.
Just getting used to the position.
I can watch that GIF for a long, long time.
This is going significantly better.
Ugh. Nice throw by Santana to get Infante and Fryer can't catch the ball.
I thought Fryer was a "catcher".
Next start by May is going to be awesome!
I think Mr. May was introduced to "the wall".
new streak started
The "fixed" and healthy Worley, after two more decent to good starts, gave up six runs in the first inning. He did get five more innings giving up no runs with eight strikeouts.
So, a quality start then.
My word, but when Arcia gets a hold of one, it disappears.
against a lefty, no less
Well now the the Royals tv guys can stop talking about Vargas' streak of 20 scoreless innings against the Twins.
Eric Kratz?
I wasn't prepared for a Wraparound series.
Make that:
"Nobody Expects the Wraparound Series"
...the Wraparound Series and/or the Plouffe!!-run!
Great at bat by Plouffe. Huge home run.
