PEORIA 3, SALT RIVER 3 IN SALT RIVER (11 INNINGS)

Twins:  Byron Buxton was 1-for-6.  Eddie Rosario was 3-for-6 with a run.  Max Kepler was 0-for-3 with two walks.

Peoria:  Raul Mondesi (Kansas City) was 2-for-5 with a triple and a double, scoring once and driving in one.  Jordan Smith (Cleveland) was 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs.  Miguel Almonte (Kansas City) pitched two shutout innings, giving up two hits with one strikeout.

Salt River:  Peter O'Brien (Arizona) was 1-for-3 with a double and two walks, scoring once.  Austin Nola (Miami) was 2-for-4 with a walk and an RBI.  Brian Ellington (Miami) struck out three in two shutout innings, allowing only a walk.

The game:  Salt River was trailing 3-2 with one out in the ninth when Nola delivered an RBI single to tie it up.  Salt River had the bases loaded in the tenth and had men on first and second in the eleventh.  By rule, AFL games are declared ties after eleven innings.

GLENDALE 6, SCOTTSDALE 5 IN SCOTTSDALE

Glendale:  Scott Schebler (Dodgers) was 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk, scoring twice.  Kevan Smith (White Sox) was 1-for-3 with a triple, scoring once and driving in three.  Wei-Chung Wang (Milwaukee) pitched three innings, giving up one run on four hits and no walks with no strikeouts.

Scottsdale:  Aaron Judge (Yankees) was 2-for-4 with a walk and two RBIs.  Elias Diaz (Pittsburgh) was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.  Ryan O'Sullivan (Philadelphia) pitched two perfect innings with one strikeout.

The game:  Smith's bases-clearing triple led to a four-run second and a 4-0 Glendale lead.  They still led 6-2 after seven, but Scottsdale scored one in the eighth and two in the ninth.  They had the winning run on base with two out in the ninth.

MESA 5, SURPRISE 3 IN MESA

Surprise:  Seth Mejias-Brean (Cincinnati) was 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk.  D. J. Peterson (Seattle) was 1-for-4 with a home run.  Lisalverto Bonilla (Texas) pitched four shutout innings, giving up one hit and three walks with two strikeouts.

Mesa:  Sean Ochinko (Toronto) was 2-for-5 with a home run and a double, driving in five.  Daniel Robertson (Oakland) was 2-for-2 with two walks and two runs.  Blake McFarland (Toronto) pitched two shutout innings, allowing one hit with one strikeout.

The game:  Trailing 3-2 with two on and two out in the eighth, Ochinko hit a three-run homer to give Mesa the lead and eventually the victory.
