Michael Perez' two-run homer carries San Juan to victory.

SAN JUAN 10, CAROLINA 9 IN SAN JUAN

Carolina:  Danny Dorn (Arizona) was 3-for-4 with two doubles and a walk, scoring twice and driving in two.  Anthony Garcia (St. Louis) was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer (his second) and a walk, scoring twice.  Raul Rivera (Houston) pitched three perfect innings with one strikeout.

San Juan:  Michael Perez (Arizona) was 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a double, scoring twice.  Ruben Gotay (Cincinnati) was 3-for-5 with a home run (his second) and two runs.  Joshua Torres (Milwaukee) struck out six in five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks.

The game:  San Juan scored three in the second and had a 5-0 lead after three.  Carolina scored four in the top of the seventh to take an 8-6 lead, but San Juan got four in the bottom of the seventh to go up 10-8.  Perez hit a two-run homer to put San Juan in the lead.  Carolina scored one in the ninth and had the go-ahead run on base with two out.
