    1. No, we're a pretty traditional bunch around here, and mostly what's sung at funerals is traditional hymns. We do have the occasional request for "My Way", and sometimes we have country songs requested, but no one has asked for "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life". Not yet, anyway.

    1. Three thoughts:
      1. Too bad for the guy. Now he's bound to be the Nishi of the mound.
      2. I've also seen his name also as Yang Hyeon-jong. Wikipedia confirms that Yang is his family name.
      3. I hope sometime that the Twins will be able to win a bid on someone posted from the LG Twins.

  1. I've been tapped to provide Fruit Salad for Thanksgiving.
    I'm seriously considering Grape Salad.
Maybe I make two, Grape and Regular.

      1. One with, one without.
I can try a new recipe and also troll anyone who's read about #GrapeGate
        #EatTheControversy

    1. You should make my grandma's fruit salad! I didn't have a chance to share it the other day, but it's a classic on my father's side of the family. It involves red grapes, canned pineapple, cranberries, marshmallows, and Cool Whip. It might sound scary, but it tastes great. I'll provide a more precise recipe if desired.

  2. so, purchased a new TV at Costco today to replace the Vizio that crapped out a few months ago. 46-inch Samsung "Smart" LED HDTV. Beautiful picture, yadda, yadda. Nice price (on sale for $479 plus tax).

Except. At the bottom of the screen, stretching in an arc about 1/3 of the way in from the left, stretching almost all the way to the right and maxing out at about a hand-width tall is what I can best describe as a filmy schmear. Hard to see except in certain light at certain angles, and depending on the colors being displayed. NOT on the surface of the screen, as I carefully cleaned the surface with an appropriate micro-fibre cloth. Almost looks like a nearly-clear liquid smeared on the inside of the screen and then dried, leaving a film behind.

I was hoping that it was condensate from humidity/temperature changes and would dissipate quickly, but no noticeable change after about an hour of operation. If it's not gone tomorrow, I think I will have to return it. Ideas as to what it is?
