Stupid cold a week before my MN trip. I better be better by the time my flight rolls around.
Picked a good week. Another cold week coming up perfect to scare people into wondering why they live here.
There's historical data for Minnesota indicating a strong likelihood of cold weather in February.
Also strong likelihood of colds.
Wow. I totally failed at homonyms and homographs today. Misreading "I" as "It" in Mag's second sentence did me in.
I totally failed at homonyms and homographs
Not that...there's anything wrong with that. We are a very open and accepting community.
Do I have it right?
homo-nym: same name (sound and spelling)
homo-graph: same symbol (spelling)
That makes sense to me, but it doesn't entirely jive with my preferred dictionary, which lists both homophone and homograph within the definition of homonym. I must confess to being nonplussed.
I think I see what's up. "Homo-nym" is just vague. What's a word's name?
Homophone and homograph are well-defined (enough, consider sari/sorry or aunt/ant).
I'm guessing that usage makes distinctions here, rather than groupings. Rather than saying homonyms are the class that contain homophones and homographs, homonyms are those words that are both phonically and graphically identical (fly, quarry, Turkey, story, etc.)
What's "The SGAWAHOOAOM"? I'm not following that one.
I had such a frustrating match against DG.
I kept cutting him Jacks and he kept cutting himself points.

JANUARY 24, 2014 AT 9:53 AM
MLB.com released their top 100 prospects yesterday. Buxton #1, Sano #4, Meyer #28, Stewart #40, and Berrios #90. It's 2014 now and it will be fun to watch.
Gopher Women's BB player drops 39 and 29 last night. Oooh. One point and one rebound from 40-30. Nevertheless, that's a pretty awesome line.
Amanda Zahui B is a sophomore and has already eclipsed 1000 career points. The Lady Gophers have 21 wins this season and have missed Rachel Banham during league play. Carlie Wagner has had a pretty good freshman campaign.
If you are not following the best basketball team in the state, there is plenty of room left on the bandwagon.
Plus I think she was robbed of one rebound. She had a rebound that I would maintain she had possession of and then lost the ball out of bounds near the end of the game. The ruling was she never had possession and lost the rebound out of bounds.
Joey King (all 6'9" of him) on the men's team has a total of 29 rebounds all season. Least Mode.
Some, if not most, of those sounds are however inaudible when combined with the rest of the music. At lower bitrates you can absolutely hear the differences but in most mp3s you get that is unlikely to be the case.
One of the techniques I used to make the musicI did years ago was to drop the bitrate of the wav file significantly and then mix it back with the original. The mega-compressed mp3s sound a lot like the dropped-bitrate wavs, but with a less-predictable degradation of sound (I'd describe the mp3s as sounding "jumbled").
If you're in need of a smile today, this will likely deliver.

Also, not sure, but I think several of these pooches roamed the outfield for the local 9 these past 4 seasons.
"So, how'd you come to name your dog Delmon?"
If there was a web site that just had .gifs of _elmon fielding boners I'd watch all day long. (Plus throw in his Thome HR reaction every so often as well to spice things up).
That's pretty damn funny stuff.
Oh goodness...I think I saw my golden in amongst those clips. Thanks for the smiles bootsy.
I've been having a pretty good day, so I was not in need of a smile, but it gave me one anyway.
It also reminded me that I need to try to find the racquetball for my cocker. She used to like to sit by the sliding glass door and pop it out of her mouth off the door over and over.
So last night I was feeling frustrated about some circumstances at work, so I fired off an email to boss at around 10 pm outlining my frustrations. Late this afternoon, she stopped by my office and told me I'm getting a raise, effective immediately. Perhaps I should get all riled up more often?
I need an editor. Replace "frustrated" with "annoyed" to avoid repetitive phrasing. Replace the "so" after the comma in the first sentence with "and" to avoid repetitive use of conjunctions. (Note to self: if you log out immediately after leaving a LTE (an LTE?), you can't edit said LTE.)
*plays the "Los Angeles or Louisiana" game; gives up and guesses Laos*
LOL. Literally.
I thought there was an understanding about LOLs being literal.
If I was unsure, does that undo the understanding?
Pedro Guerrero is recovering from an apparent stroke.

Don't you remember 13-month-old joaks?!
Huh. I didn't.
But the banner just showed up, right?
Hey, cribbage tournament! That sounds swell.
I thought so.
I had such a frustrating match against DG.

The prospects. And it was.
look here
I still haven't seen it.

Least mode. I like that.

all the ghostly sounds that are lost when you compress to mp3. Fascinating.

Greatest one game cup of coffee?
A lot better than Allan Travers
although, he has a very interesting story
In terms of batting runs, yes.
I thought for a second you were referring to game logs or Cuppas.
so, a squirrel for sean: top ten Cups and Game Logs, respectively, for numbers of LTEs?
Anyone can look up that. Go to the posts list and filter by category and sort by number of LTEs.
In that case, can we request that you identify the top ten cups by subjective awesomeness?
Here's my top ten.
10. Red Solo
9. Dixie
8. Blue Solo
7. Pimm's No. 6
6. Pimm's No. 5
5. Pimm's No. 3
4, Pimm's No. 4
3. Pimm's No. 2
2. Pimm's No. 1
1. Stanley
#1: D
I don't see athletic on that list. I'm a supporter.
Athletic in the top ten cups by subjective awesomeness?
No way.
I think I should have fit Sippy in there.
A cheesy application of comic sans.

Awesome! (/jealous)
Well done, indeed.
Congratulations!
Nice! Congrats and well-deserved.*

Ha! Thanks.
Gophers men have now allowed 32 total three-pointers in their last two games. That's hard to do if you're trying to give up three-pointers.
KG to the Wolves is the hot rumor.
Heh. Why not?
KG is old and awful this year. Still plays better than Anthony Bennett.
Get er done Billy Smith!
Can he still play centerfield?
No. But KG can play first so Mauer can finally move to third.
Reusse with a column about possibility of Rosario winning CF job. I hadn't considered that possibility. Hey, if we don't care about OF defense, might as well get someone in there that can hit.
Most reports I've read is that he's a bit lazy, but hey -- if he does the job...
