At least two of our Citizens are starting new jobs in the next couple of weeks. Rock on, dudes. I hope I'm next.

I'm irrationally happy that Buxton hit two doubles and Sano doubled and walked against the Gophers.
And I see absolutely nothing wrong with that! I'm also happy that J. O. Berrios struck out four and only gave up one hit in two innings.
I made a point of reporting their lines to Philosofette last night.
Every time I hear the name "Sonny Grey," "Kodachrome" by Paul Simon plays in my head.
I sense a CoC theme...
It's going to get difficult relatively soon.
Its not like we're going in any sort of order of release, or anything like that. So that should give you plenty of poetic license.
Right...I just don't know how I'll sneak "Live Sh*t: Binge and Purge" in there.
Well dammit, National Eating Disorder Awareness Week was last week.
If it helps any, I read that as:
live,
sh*t,
binge &
purge
I'd think Metallica would be harder.
Yeah, and fudging it to the popularly-used "Black Album" doesn't really help, either.
Maybe Jay-Z?
So one of the things my Sonos system gives me is access to countless radio stations. The problem is I get no rundown, but only the title and genre. I could save myself a lot of time if some of these jazz stations were in a separate folder called "Cheese Jazz." (Yes, there's already a "Smooth Jazz" section I can easily avoid, but the main listing still contains a lot of junk)
Getting too much Kirk Whalum in your diet?
My cousin informed me via fb that Alabama Shakes tickets are now on Pre-Sale, via First-Ave.
Where: First Ave Hall's Island, Minneapolis*
When: Saturday, May 30, 4:30 pm.
Cost: $45
Passcode: Color
The Rev. J. Misty* opens up.
I'm not interested, but I assume many here may be.
Sponsored by First Ave.
Father John Misty, as his children call him.
Presale is sold out.
Don't get too worried. Presales usually only about 1/3 of all tix. But demonstrates that this is popular show. If interersted I'd hit the site right at away tomorrow.
My wife ended up getting two through the band's website. Then told me she might be taking our daughter instead of me.
Got a ticket out of nowhere (via Colin "Inkarnit" Wolfson at my other place) to the Indians-Reds game in an hour. His company gets them for just about every game and he's pretty sure these are in the front row. Well, I'll be.
After three years of missing out on Spring Training due to not getting schedules together or basic laziness, I'm pretty sure this is the first of at least three I'll be attending.
Couldn't those teams just play each other in Ohio? Why travel all the way to Arizona for that matchup?
Heh. They actually share a home facility, so they play each other a lot in the preseason, in addition to being designated interleague "rivals." They probably know the guys on the other team near as well as they know their own.
I wonder if that means my e-mail listener show questions for Effectively Wild have a chance of being read now
Huh. For some reason, I'd never even considered HIPAA when discussing sports player injuries. I wonder if there are conditional waivers in parts of the contracts they sign, and really, how much of their rights could they really force them to give up?
I went to his old place. "The Authors have deleted this site."
I think I had e-mail notification, so I didn't miss anything there.
Good for him, he had way too many good thoughts for that small audience.
The ticket turned out to be front row. I'm just past the Cleveland bench behind first base. Perfect day here.
I know the subject matter is a touchy for some folks (primarily associated with forbidden zone sentiments) but I really enjoyed this interview with Paul Douglas and wanted to share it.
My office manager sent me this today (it's one of those weeks):
Jesus. This was my day. So many useless meetings.

Twins, Wild, and Gophers all playing at the same time tonight. Gah!
No TV! Problem solved.
Spent most of the game joking around with Sandy Alomar. He gave an autographed ball to Colin. It was a weird, fantastic day at the park.
Apparently you can't or won't eat a footlong.
The deal was struck during the one time I left the stands for a potty break. On the upside, I did get to talk to Alomar for a while as a result, and he was amused that I'd had to tell Colin who Alomar was before the game.
(And for the record, that's my Dale's Pale Ale in the background of the shot).
Went shelling around sunset tonight; all the larger whelks were occupied, and the smaller ones sported crabs, so I didn't add to the collection much. Still, it was a nice walk at low tide, and we saw a handful of dolphins passing by. This week is going too fast.

Don't be a Highlight Truther.
Heh, that article sure did attract the truthers.
Also, those three plays are all awesome.

Stauffer is making the opening day roster easier...
I think I've decided that my favorite running gag on Archer is the ridiculously long recordings his Mother gets when she calls his phone.
I agree.
Nooooope!
