It may get boring if it was all rad all the time.
Also, despite Bocephus's idiocy political persuasion, I like some of his music.

I'm not good at this, but I heard a bird call this morning that for some reason always reminds me of spring in MN. It was basically two notes repeated: dee-dee [step or two down] dee-dee.
I think it was a Black-Capped Chickadee (based on this) but I'm not sure and I'm not great at translating a call to mnemonics.
Care to expound?
Yes, that sounds like a Chickadee.
"Typical Song" here.
Permanent residents, they actually "start" singing this in midwinter. (Scare-quotes because I don't remember them stopping.)
Lots of people think those songs are from Phoebes. But Phoebes have different "Fee-bee" calls.
First "Primary Song" here.
They're back from migration already.
Not to be confused with the similar-looking and -sounding Pewee.
First "Song" here.
They won't be back to their MN breeding grounds until May.
The White-throated Sparrow has a whistle that's similar to the Chickadee but has a different rhythm.
Second "Song" here.
Just starting to pass through, a handful winter in the Twin Cities and they may breed as far south as Northern MN.
Yup - Chickadee.
That White-throated Sparrow is like the opposite song with the same notes - starting lower and stepping higher.
I think the reason it reminds me of spring is because, although they may "start" in midwinter, I don't spend nearly as much time outside in January as I do in April & May.
