Minor Details: Games of April 19

All one-run games, with two going extra innings.  Fine starting pitching for all Twins affiliates.

PAWTUCKET 4, ROCHESTER 3 IN PAWTUCKET

Batting stars:  Brock Peterson was 1-for-3 with a two-run homer (his third) and a walk.  Eddie Rosario was 2-for-4 with a triple and a run.  Aaron Hicks was 2-for-5 with a run.

Pitching star:  Pat Dean pitched seven shutout innings, giving up two hits and a walk.

Opposition stars:  Sean Coyle was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run.  Dana Eveland pitched two shutout innings, allowing one hit with one strikeout.

The game:  Peterson hit a two-run homer in the first and it stayed 2-0 through six.  The PawSox scored two in the seventh to tie it up.  Rosario tripled and scored on a Reynaldo Rodriguez single to give the Red Wings a 3-2 lead in the top of the eighth, but in the bottom of the eighth a wild pitch tied the score and an error allowed the go-ahead run to come in.  The Red Wings went down in order in the ninth.

Of note:  Josmil Pinto was 0-for-4.

BIRMINGHAM AT CHATTANOOGA

Postponed:  wet grounds.

FORT MYERS 3, ST. LUCIE 2 IN FORT MYERS (11 INNINGS)

Batting stars:  Jason Kanzler was 2-for-3 with a run.  Chad Christensen was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run.

Pitching stars:  Ryan Eades pitched six innings, giving up one run on six hits and a walk with three strikeouts.  Todd Van Steensel struck out five in 2.1 innings, giving up two hits and two walks.  J. T. Chargois pitched a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and a walk.

Opposition stars:  Michael Conforto was 3-for-5 with a home run and a walk.  Maikis De La Cruz was 4-for-5 with a walk and a RBI.  Matt Oberste was 2-for-6 with a double and a triple, scoring once.

The game:  Oberste singled and scored to give the Mets a 2-1 lead in the eighth, but a sacrifice fly tied the score in the ninth.  In the eleventh, two singles and a walk loaded the bases and Aderlin Mejia's one-out single drove home the winning run.

Of note:  Niko Goodrum was 0-for-4 with a walk and a run.  Max Kepler was 1-for-5.  Alex Swim was 1-for-5.  Mitch Garver was used as a pinch-hitter and was 0-for-1.

BURLINGTON 2, CEDAR RAPIDS 1 IN BURLINGTON (12 INNINGS)

Batting star:  Pat Kelly was 1-for-3 with a run.

Pitching stars:  Felix Jorge struck out nine in five innings, giving up one run on five hits and two walks.  Cameron Booser struck out three in two perfect innings.  Trevor Hildenberger struck out four in three shutout innings, giving up one hit.

Opposition stars:  Natanael Delgado was 4-for-5.  Sean Newcomb pitched six innings, allowing one run on two hits and a walk with five strikeouts.  Jake Newell pitched three shutout innings, allowing no hits and no walks with two strikeouts.

The game:  Miguel Hermosillo singled in a run in the fourth to give the Bees a 1-0 lead and Kelly singled and scored in the sixth to tie it up.  In the twelfth, the Bees got a single and a walk and Hermosillo delivered a two-out single to win the game.  The Kernels stranded men on second and third in the ninth but got only one baserunner, a hit batsman, after that.

Of note:  Nick Gordon was 0-for-5.  Zack Larson was 0-for-5 with an RBI.  Max Murphy was 1-for-5.  Trey Vavra was 0-for-5.
