There certainly are some "wtf?" class collaborations out there. We should probably look into that.

I appreciate that Sir Jones left that closing "wooooo hooooo hoo hoooooo"'s to his backup singers.

I just don't know how to react to that.
Isn't it something? I thought it'd turn a few more heads than this.
You know, Tom Jones holds his own here. David Gilmour ? Not so much.
It is a great song, though. I know I've told the story before, but I was at First Ave when Mr. Nelson debuted Purple Rain--thank you, Garry! And all y'all others weren't.
I agree that Gilmour's solo was lacking. But the vocal was too (un) usual to be loved by anyone.
You may have told it here before, but I was either not around, not paying attention or both. In any case, that's really cool.
I didn't mind the Gilmour solo much.
And as my friend Louie might surmise, I'm shocked--SHOCKED--that Prince shut this video down.
Which vid? The main one? Works for me.
No, my link was to the original 12 minute version at First Ave in 1983.
Yeah, I couldn't get that one to work. That video is a white whale of mine. Every time I find, it doesn't survive long enough to post. And this is the 2nd I've had to use for the main one. His D game is pretty good.
Get that shit outta here.
Game, lawyer blouses.
that is one of the greatest skits of all time.
agreed
My favorite thing about this is the fact that it's "subtitulada en castellano."
