I had hoped business would be up a little when I came back, but it's been brutal.

MORNING GAME ALERT: The Rochester Red Wings, with Jose Berrios pitching, host Gwinnett at 10:05 Central time.
I can't stand these days off where I have the ability to sleep in, and this chronic problem I'm having with my right calf wakes me up howling in pain at 5am.
AMR, close call this morning! A coworker who normally takes a different bus route was on mine today. We didn't see each other until after disembarking, fortunately. I'd just retrieved the items when she called my name. I figured I'd act as though I had clumsily dropped something, but she didn't inquire, and I immediately brought up a project we're both working on that I legitimately had a question about.
By the way, no need for the two-note system. I know where to look, and the other note is just too flimsy and ends up getting blown down.
Today was the last day of the 2-note system, unless I move the site. Future "flags" will be completely blank.
I'm sad neither of you have found the notes I've left.
P.S. Transfers will be unlikely for the next two weeks. I'll be in Alaska most of those days. Plus I've got an appt tomorrow morning.
But on return, maybe you'll get the Goldfinch back. Probably not even then though.
that's just what you want the NSA to think.
I'll bet he can see Russia from there.
Where I'll be, that'll only happen if Putin decides in the next two weeks to undo Tsar Alexander II's error.
Yeah, I wouldn't rule it out, either.
I'm heading north next week as well. Just not that far north. So kind of you to coordinate your vacation with mine!
Once you really get into The Goldfinch, it goes fast. But it takes a while to get to that point. I'll be bringing more books with me than I can possibly read.
ALWAYS have a cover story handy.
This turned into an offer this morning. I start Monday.
Congrats!
The Nation Has A Job...
Congratulations! Hope it goes really well for you.
Congrats!
Nice!
Do you have to wear a tie?
Or heels?
Jeans and tshirts seemed the norm. *thumbs up*
Congratulations!
Way to go! We need more taxpayers.
Huzzah! Mpls or St. Paul?
Right on the county line on University. Just in Hennipin County.
Howdy neighbor
So which downtown mini-caucii will you be attending?
Turns out "caucus" is not of Latin origin (as it looks). Rather, it's from Algonquin.
So my pluralization is fine, because now it's ironic.
I barely watch any college football now that the Premier League is so accessible, and I generally loathe tOSU, but I just became a big Cardale Jones fan.
Yeah I don't need a larger image, I need more fans on either side
Is that Tommy Lasorda?!
Yes, and "Tommy Lasorda sleeping at baseball game" yields more results that you might think.
Gladden just attributed Hicks' improvement to Torii Hunter's leadership. I think it would be funny if the company line switched to blaming Hunter for Santana's struggles.
That sort of outside the box thinking is just what we love around here.
I think Mauer could regain his face of the franchise status if he incorporated some of this into his warm-up routine.
I counted strike three* well before a pitch was thrown.
Kershaw has not allowed a baserunner yet and has 6 K's through five. Francisco Liriano has not allowed a hit and has 9 K's through 4 IP. There is some dealing going on.
So the wheels have come off a bit for Liriano, but Charley Steiner just told me to call my friends and neighbors because something special is happening in Queens. It's possible he was referring to Bartolo Colon swinging out of his helmet at a Kershaw curve...

Now? Where were you in January?
Generally loathing tOSU.
I added a new banner to the banner page, but forget how to get it into the random mix.
Hmmm... wish it was wider.
Love it!
Yeah, that is a very small banner.
you and me both. is the source image any wider?
What about from Wednesday's game log?
Where did you think I got it from originally? It doesn't extend any further out horizontally, and I'd lose too much cropping it more vertically.
160 pixels looks a lot smaller when it's all by itself. In that case, no idea.
This is the largest I can find.

Two screens going with ballgames tonight.
