The White Sox fielding miscues start with the first batter.
That's a very White Soxy way to start the game.
And a Twinsy way to end their half of the first.
All of these scoreless innings feel befitting of their respective teams.
Based loaded for Plouffe. Please dont hit into a double play.
Dang, nice play by the RFer.
So so so (so so) close
It would be pretty cool if Santana turns out to be something other than a pumpkin.
Brian Dozier's slash line at the All Star break: .256 /.328 /.513 /.841
Dozier's slash line at the start of this game: .240 /.313 /.467 /.779
I blame the home run derby.
Nice throw by Torii, nice tag by Escobar.
My dad believes all of Hicks' improvement belongs to Torii Hunter. So I guess net win?
It is at least possible that Hunter has helped him some. I know we make fun of his "leadership", but it's not unreasonable to think that a veteran like Hunter, who's had a solid career, could be helpful to a young player. I wouldn't agree with giving him all the credit, but he may have helped.
I think there's almost certainly some credit to be thrown Hunter's way. I just disagree with Dick about how much.
Don't call my dad Dick.
π
Heh heh
I mean, I suppose I disagree with him, too.
PLOUFFFFFE!!!
Way to stop messing around, Plouffe.
I was literally in the middle of a b-r search on the last time Plouffe hit a home run. (Aug 17 at Yankee Stadium)
Keep searching.
Chattanooga's playoff game with Montgomery was rained out. It'll be made up tomorrow.
YDNROii !!!!
Another nice throw by Torii and a great tag by Suzuki.
I like when Adam Eaton is screwing up in the field, not hitting home runs.
Rosario is an impressive bad ball hitter. I would sorry of order he not chase those, though.
Nice hit by Torii there. Lucky it stayed in the Park.
I want May as a starter, but it's damn fun watching him in relief.
Plus, it has the added benefit of making sure they don't give up on him. They should really do this with all of their pitching prospects when they run into tough times before giving up on them entirely.
re: Liam Hendriks.
He is exactly who I was thinking of.
or J.C. Romero. Or Latroy Hawkins
It does seem like they used to be better about it.
Glen Perkins, Rick Aguilera
Wasn't Aggie's conversion (mostly) with the Mets?
Yes. And the Twins tried to convert him back to a starter. Twice!
Don't forget Eddie Guardado.
I thought that one hit the bag. Actually a really good call by the ump.
EDDIE ESCOBAR!!!!!
Eeessscobar??!
Escobar went down and got that one.
I do enjoy watching Escobar when he's doing well (and he has been doing so, so we'll lately) . He looks like he enjoys baseball.
IBB Mauer to get to Sano
ROFL
Leading the bases for Sano. A gamble.

A very good night for Plouffe.
Fans (all 500 of them left in the stands) are booing Robin Ventura pretty hard as he comes gets his pitcher.
