Same as it ever was for me. No shopping. Will be taking Miss SBG to the rink for some practice today.

Good luck shoppers.
Good luck Spooky.
Happy Leftovers to the rest of you.
I'm not shopping today, never shop Black Friday, but I am off soon for an eye exam, a haircut, and then getting a leaky tire on my daughter's car fixed. But those are all services, so I don't count them as shopping.
I shop the heck out of Black Friday from the comfort of my desk. Will hit the Y with Mrs Runner and grab lunch, then hit the online specials again.
I just looked in the fridge and noticed that I forgot to put the cranberry sauce out yesterday. Oops. Evidently I'll be eating a LOT of cranberries for the next few weeks....
This is why my wife staged all of the serving dishes in advance!
Genius. Even though I made her move all that shit so I could rest the turkey.
I think I'll need to do that from now on, especially since my wife just reminded me that I did the exact same thing last year.
Why couldn't it have been the pie?!
Agreed, though I'm sure others in the house would have eaten a forgotten pie. I'm pretty much on my own with the cranberries.
When life gives you cranberries... make pie!
Here's a fun roundup of recent graphic novels that might make good gifts. The list includes a mix of fiction and nonfiction, including The Comic Book Story of Beer.
Also nice Townsend's Solitaire shot on the Recently Seen page over at the moumn.org site.
That's the same (individual) bird!
Wow that's crazy!
Not really. As far as I know, it's the only documented TOSO in the state right now, it's in the metro region, and it appears to be quite accommodating. Sounds like a one-hour stakeout at trees you can park under all but guarantees a view. Four people I know photographed it before me, and another while I was there, and yet another as I was leaving. Plus your photographer. If it stays the winter (as is possible: it's been there since last weekend), I'd guess that at least a hundred people will photograph it.
Woofs up by 11 late in Sactown.
they now have 6 road wins this season. crazytownbananapants.
Just saw That Wiggins put-back jam. I'm starting to wonder if he'll be an all-star this year.
So which streak will end first? The Warriors' winning or the Sixers' losing? Both are at 17 for this season. Sixers have lost 27 in a row going back to last season. Ugh. Wolves in Philly on Jan. 4. Philly has 13 of 19 on the road before then, so not many good chances to win before Wolves go to Philly. Sixers do have Lakers at home on Tuesday and the Nuggets on Saturday. Otherwise, Wolves could be facing an 0-36 team on Jan. 4. I wouldn't want anything to do with that if I were them.
the Warriors have reached ridonkulous level. Another laugher last night. Curry had 41 and didn't play in the 4th (again). As a team, they were 22-38 from three-point range. That is absolutely unfair. 32 assists on 46 made FGs. On the season, they rank first in offensive rating and fifth in defensive rating. Again, unfair.
I saw speculation they might reach 28 wins. The person thought it might not be until they play Cleveland in late December that there would be a good chance at losing.
upcoming schedule: tonight vs Sac (second of back-to-back for both teams), then an extended road trip. Utah on the 30th, Hornets on the 2nd, Toronto on the 5th, Brooklyn on the 6th, Indy on the 8th, Boston on the 11th, Milwaukee on the 12th.
The streak will not survive that road trip. If I had to pick, I'd pick Toronto on the 5th.
Hinkie's process kind of sucks. I'm thinking they blow away the Nets record this year.

I went shopping for a life bird in Ramsey, MN.
I got it. Townsend's Solitaire, usually found in the Rocky Mountains. Each year no more than a dozen make it to MN for migration.
Here's a picture someone else took of it earlier in the week.
Also nice Townsend's Solitaire shot on the Recently Seen page over at the moumn.org site.
