another rainy saturday in sactoland. I spent 2 hours this morning doing yard work during a lull. w00t.
Have you guys been getting enough rain to make a dent in the drought situation?
The climatologists will probably say no and that story will appear right below stories about flooding in the area. Actually, I think NorCal has been getting hit a lot more than us, which is great because we take their water anyways. I hear the Sierra Nevada snowpack is near normal or just above, which is important.
Yes, we've gotten enough rain that some of the lower reservoirs have filled up and they are now talking about releases. The ground is pretty much saturated. Not so sure about further north.
The problem around here is the snowpack, which is below-average and below-average in moisture content. We need several feet of snow and some cold weather in the Sierras to hold that snow for a few weeks.
We went skiing at Mammoth Mountain last year during the third week of March, and big sections of the mountain were closed due to lack of snow, and I think they were fully shut down by early April. This year, not so much. We're headed up again in a couple of weeks, and expecting much, much better conditions this time.
Lukaku Beast Mode!
X2!
Costa meltdown!
Why he's on Everton and not Chelsea I'll never understand.
I hate that Fox Sports favors NASCAR over soccer. I don't get FS2
With so many bad stories about youth sports, here is a good story. And it just happens to involve one of the two high schools in my parish.
What's better than TSA PRE also on the return flight? Mrs Runner also TSA Pre.
I showed Trey the Tweet: "What? That's Denard Span!"
In Moab, UT for the weekend. Have been training with some folks for months for the Canyonlands Half Marathon. After last weekend injury (tore something between my knee and upper calf), I was able to pull off the 5-miler without too much chagrin.
Did the Arches yesterday (Delicate Arch hike, nice), and planning to do mountain biking/vineyard lunch tomorrow, and maybe horseback rifding on Monday. New state for me. Cool place.
Spent a good few hours at Minnehaha with the nieces and nephew. Such a wonderful day.
Yes, it was gorgeous. The Valet took his first ride in his Radio Flyer wagon... to the liquor store.
I was near your outlaws house yesterday, though the route had changed. I don't recall much after 3 pm....
