How many more plate appearances does Eduardo Nunez need to start showing up on the leaderboards?
Assuming he gets 5 plate appearances, he'd be 4 shy after this game.
After this game he needs 124 instead of 121 so he'll be seven short.
Ah, I was counting as just as of this game, not the next.
It's 3.1 PAs per team game for rate stats. This is game 39 so Nunez needs 121 PAs. He's at 112 entering today so he should be moving up. Only in batting average is he above tenth though, and he's at .333 versus .317, so that's the only rate stat leaderboard he'll appear on. He is already on the stolen base and HBP boards.
thanks for crunching the numbers.
Cue the yakkety-sax music.

Not shutout!
Mauer now one strikeout short of having an equal walk:strikeout ratio.
On Twitter Judd Zulgad mentioned that the broadcast is (not surprisingly) going with the 'blame the players route.'
I have a hard time putting all the blame there when looking at today's lineup and results:
Ricky Nolasco is who he is and wasn't bad by his standards today. Taylor Rogers gave up a HR to Ian Kinsler, a RH better.
Eduardo Nunez has an error. There's enough evidence to show he is not a good defensive SS. But he's one of the few guys hitting, so no complaints about him in the lineup.
Sano has an error. He's playing out of position.
Santana and Rosario have struck out twice. Not a surprise.
It's the player's job to execute at the major league level, it is the team's job to ensure the player is prepared to execute at the major league level. Both players and team are failing in their jobs.
Total System Failure.
Had to do it.
I keep getting this error, make it stop!!!
hunt for mushrooms.
I just don't see any way they don't make big changes this year.
How long have you been watching this team? If there's one team that won't make big changes, it's the Twins.
I watched them in the 80s when they changed managers every couple years. They haven't been this bad since then.
Everyone, including top jimmy, seems to have forgotten that the Lynx are defending champs. Give them some framing credit already.
Unfortunately, there is often a difference between what we should do and what we actually do.
I think they will do something. It might be just symbolic like reshuffling minor league managers, but they will do something.
I agree that, unless things turn around, they'll do something. With all the roster shuffling, you could argue that they've already done something. But "something" may be a long way from "big changes"

Reusse has watched them for 56 years and came to the same conclusion. http://www.startribune.com/twins-status-in-pro-market-is-falling-fast/380052471/
