I know "Bad Habits" is probably one of my most-used CoC titles, but I simply cannot get myself to sleep earlier.

June 4th. Man I lost a whole day. At least the Sturgill Simpson concert is that much closer.
According to Simpsons Tapped Out, today is National Doughnut Day. So we have that going for us, which is nice.
A couple years ago, my kids were telling me about National Donut Day. I didn't believe them and thought it was just an excuse to get me to buy them donuts. Later my wife confirmed it, but even now, I still joke with them that National Donut Day doesn't really exist.
I'm in the same boat, by the time the kids are in bed and even a small amount of cleaning up is done, it is already 10:30 and it is hard to go right to bed. Staying up until midnight researching really dumb stuff about old TV connections felt like a really bad idea at 5:30 when one kid got up.
Hey now! TV Tropes isn't going to go down its own rabbit hole!
Someone's got to do it.
Ha, if only it was that productive - I'm talking PVMs, SCART cables, RGB, BNC, component, etc.
Q: How many software engineers does it take to figure out old TV connections?
A: none, it's a hardware problem
I have a PVM! This is a very, very deep very, very dark rabbit hole. Have fun!
And if you have any questions/concerns/want any advice, I'm more than happy to help.
Right now I have one question - where can I find a 20" model?!? I'm holding out for that size, but a nice looking 14" model is available now
The first attempt at upgrading my retro game cart has been a disappointment, got a 24" Sony Wega CRT from craigslist that has some issues (squiggly green lines whenever it is a black background). My wife is not thrilled by the idea of more CRTs in our house!
So I got my first 20" (PVM-20L1) at a video editing shop that was selling them for $50 CAD, which was a great deal. Unfortunately it didn't do RGB. I ordered an RGB model on eBay (PVM-20L2) because of a best offer I was sure they wouldn't accept I made in the middle of the night. eBay prices are pretty lousy, but the bigger issue is that CRTs are pretty delicate when shipped, and mine showed up with some sort of interference on the screen and being a CRT it's impossible to find someone to fix it.
Honestly, the 14" might not be a bad idea. If I ever had a chance to scoop one up, I would, personally. Just so I had something that wasn't full of interference. I want to play all these games in RGB haha.
This question came to mind this morning: with interleague play, we eventually get to play against all teams , but what with players moving around, which player has been in MLB the longest without having played against the Twins?
Not Bumgarner. In terms of earned runs, it's his worst start of his career. It's also the only time he never made it to the third inning in a start.
Playing against mean appearing in a game or just being in the roster?
I was thinking roster, but either is a good question.
To me, "playing against" actually means appearing in a game.
If it's just being on the roster, I'm thinking of an older player who's been around a while but has moved teams within the NL quite a bit. Ryan Vogelsong?
He pitched the day after my spoilered LTE above. I don't know why, but I remember those two starters being back-to-back somehow.
Cuddyer mentioned that he made it his entire career without ever playing against the Twins because he was on the DL when the Twins played the Mets. I was going to suggest Morneau, but I didn't realize he isn't playing this year.
Had a fun night slinging beer at the Clips of Faith festival last night at the sour tent. I managed to make off with a growler of tart lychee and the transatlantique-kriek. I also broke the rules and sampled La Folie throughout the night.
I like La Folie. Have not seen the tart lychee. What did you think of the transatlantique kriek?
La Folie was definitely the best of three. The Tart Lychee is new, so may not be in stores yet, but it very good. Light on the sour, but had an interesting, sort of muted fruitiness with a very small hint of cinnamon.
The kriek was ok, but not my favorite. Needed more sour cherry taste.
I've really enjoyed Nuñez this season. His enthusiasm is infectious and he's been hitting very well.
And since third base is his best suited position and since some very high profile third baseman are hurt, I don't think his trade value will ever be higher.

Plouffe & Nunez mentioned as possible trade targets for Mets and Royals because of injuries to Wright and Moustakas.
Plouffe for Noah Syndergaard. Who says no?

Agreed. This has to be his ceiling.
My Lord does 2016 suck or what?
