    1. I'll get two: I got one of the extra tickets for HPR.
I can save one for you or mail it or something.

      1. Me too! I got two tix so let me know if someone needs one. I think they are $31 each with the fees.

        1. I might. I'll bother my wife tonight about it.
I know nothing about DbT, didn't realize this was a Lydia opening set and not a co-headline.

    1. Thanks to your tip, I purchased a couple of tickets yesterday. Paid ~$32.50 per stub. That second one may also be extra, but I'm not sure yet.

    1. I think the public can't relate to the wealthy owners; they can't realistically imagine themselves having or earning that kind of money.* On the other hand, most people probably think that with a few breaks or a bit more dedication (or something like that) they could have made it to the big leagues - they don't understand how truly hard it is to make it to the top of the professional sporting ranks, especially since the pros make it look so easy.

*I think most people have no concept of how wealthy someone who owns a professional franchise really is - like saying you understand how big the universe is, without having any idea how "BIG" the universe really is.

      1. I think it's also because we don't see how much the owners make. Payrolls for the players are public but everything else is hidden.

        1. I think it's because people are generally morons. Like the comments in yesterday's FB post about the anniversary of the Griffith -> Pohlad sale, lamenting how the purse strings tightened since then. Pohlad(s) have been spending money on the Twins Griffith never dreamed of having.

          1. It is funny to think of how often the knucklehead segment of Twins fans complain both about the players making too much money and the Pohlads not spending enough.

        1. I remember that comment ... very likely I internalized it and unwittingly regurgitated your comment here today!
          In other words, "Well said!"

    2. I'll never understand it (ranks up there with "college players try harder and care more" as arguments that baffle me). Every time I bring up this argument about the owners, I'm usually met with a blank stare of some form or another.

  1. There is far too much talk of Rubio being shopped around tonight. I would be so very sad.

  2. Meanwhile, the Twins have allowed 4+ runs in 22 consecutive games. I know, let's just drop the bench and go with a 16-man pitching staff, all relievers.
