We're going to a matinee at the cinema, so here's a fresh pot for brunch.

Dido. Going with The Boy today.
I've hidden about 100+ people on Facebook this election season. My feed is downright readable.
You can hide people without unfriending them?
Yeah, man. Best feature on all of FB. Click on the top-right arrow thingy on a post, and you can hide the post, the post and related posts, or the person's activity altogether. I've only unfriended a couple of people (for racist and sexist comments) but have hidden at least 400-500 over the years. If they really need me, they can message me directly.
I've just gotten really good at scrolling past anything political.
I did that for a while, but when 10% of my feed became 65%, it was time for drastic measures.
I don't hide all politics, or even strictly politics I disagree with; I hide the surface-level garbage spoken loudly by Facebook friends I'm not sure how I acquired. I've never hidden anyone from here.
I enjoy talking politics on FB, will engage both those I agree with and disagree with, and have had many great discussions on there. But, man, do I abhor political memes.
You do a nice job on your discussions but your friends inevitably misrepresent what you say in their responses. It's not possible to have a discussion with some people.
Truth.
Thanks. There are some people I won't engage with any more. And my hope on those who don't quite agree/misrepresent is that I'm planting seeds for future agreement.

It's good to know others' weaknesses.
Putting someone on the Restricted list means that you’re still friends, but that you only share your posts with them when you choose Public as the audience, or when you tag them in the post. For example, if you're friends with your boss and you put them on your Restricted list, then post a photo and choose Friends as the audience, you aren’t sharing that photo with your boss, or anyone else on your Restricted list. However, if you tag your boss in the photo, or chose Public as the audience, they’ll be able to see the photo.
It's really nice for relatives. You can block seeing their posts without the awkward "Cuz, you unfriended me!" discussion at family get togethers.
This is the reason I know how to hide people. It all started with an aunt.
just to be clear, there's hiding people/posts/"posts like this", which filters what YOU see, and there's restricting people, which filters what THEY see from what you post.
Missouri loves baseball:
The Royals don't have the most raw viewers watching their games -- five teams in bigger markets draw more -- but they easily have the highest RSN rating at 13.26, well above No. 2 St. Louis' 8.14 rating.
Too d@mn hot to go outside; might as well watch the ballgame!
Makes sense. Spent a hot half-week at Glacial Lakes S.P. last summer, and I found the most pleasant air wasn't in the shade of the woods but out on the native prairie where the air was drier and windy.
I'm starting to regret buying a house near a corn field now.
Growing up in Iowa, I can vouch for the added humidity from the corn.
Having detassled, boy lemme tell ya. Like walking through a sauna.
Greetings from the Tarmac at MSP. Flying spirit airlines has been a disaster from start to finish. We were delayed out of Nola because the let a passenger on our flight that wasn't supposed to be on this flight. Then we circled MSP for over an hour and now have no gate access. I'm going nuts.

Blame the corn.
Woah.

Welcome to the tarmac!
Speaking of Star Trek...
just got back from ST:Beyond, and post-movie beers. The flick was good, summer movie fun. Plenty of humor, decent action.
Combine this with the Laroche thing, and Chris Sale seems like a massive d-bag.
I read that as "Larouche" and thought "whoa".
Dido.
