Single runs by the Suns in the fourth and seventh accounted for all the scoring. David Hurlbut pitched well in taking the loss, going 6.2 innings and allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and a walk with one strikeout. Alan Busenitz pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, giving him 3.1 scoreless innings since joining the Lookouts. Chattanooga had six hits, with no batter getting more than one.

Already leading 4-0, the Kernels scored four in the fifth to put the game out of reach. Sam Gibbons pitched five shutout innings before allowing a couple of unearned runs in the sixth. His line was six innings, two unearned runs, three hits, four walks, and one strikeout. Luis Arraez was 4-for-5 with two doubles and is batting .343. Christian Ibarra was 3-for-4 with a walk. Jaylin Davis was 2-for-5 with two doubles. Nelson Molina is 2-for-3 with a walk and is batting .303. Rainis Silva was 2-for-5.
ELIZABETHTON 4, DANVILLE 3 IN ELIZABETHTON (GAME 1--12 INNINGS--SCHEDULED 7 INNINGS)
The Twins scored three in the first, but did not score again until the twelfth, when MItchell Kranson drew a two-out walk and scored on Shane Carrier's single-plus-error. Jose Martinez pitched 5.2 innings, giving up three runs on five hits and a walk with one strikeout. Patrick McGuff pitched three more shutout innings, dropping his ERA to 0.63 with 21 strikeouts in 14.1 innings. Austin Tribby struck out seven in 3.1 scoreless innings. Carrier was 2-for-4 with two walks. Alex Kirilloff was 2-for-4 with a walk and is batting .361. Trey Cabbage was 2-for-5 with a double. Brandon Lopez was 0-for-5 with a walk and is batting .337. Lewin Diaz was 1-for-1 as a reserve and is batting .307.
DANVILLE 3, ELIZABETHTON 1 IN ELIZABETHTON (GAME 2--7 INNINGS)
A walk, a single, and an error produced two runs in the seventh for the Braves, breaking a 1-1 tie. The Twins out-hit Danville 10-4 but stranded ten runners. Elizabethton also made three errors. Miguel De Jesus pitched six innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts in his Appalachian League debut. Lewin Diaz was 2-for-4 with a triple and is batting .314. Ariel Montesino was 2-for-3 and is batting .327. Brandon Lopez was 1-for-3 with a walk and is batting .337. Alex Kirilloff was 1-for-4 and is batting .358.
GCL TWINS 4, GCL ORIOLES 0 AT TWINS
Roni Tapia hit a two-run homer in a three-run second that put the Twins ahead to stay. Huascar Ynoa pitched five shutout innings, giving up four hits and no walks with two strikeouts. Zach Strecker pitched three shutout innings of relief. Justin Hazard was 2-for-4 and is batting .394. Aaron Whitefield is 2-for-4 and is batting .321. Tapia is now 4-for-43 (.093) on the season, and three of his four hits and home runs. He has struck out twenty-four times. Brad Hartong was 1-for-2 with a walk and is batting .333.

The Twins trailed 3-0 through seven. Yeremi De La Cruz hit a two-run homer in the eighth to make it 3-2. In the ninth, two doubles and two singles plated two more runs, with Darling Cuesto driving in the winning run. Carlos Suniaga pitched five innings, giving up an unearned run on four hits and a walk with four strikeouts. De La Cruz was 2-for-3 with a double in addition to the home run, which was his second. Victor Tademo was 2-for-4 with two doubles and is batting .317. Edgar Herrera was 1-for-4 and is batting .329. Jorge Parra was 0-for-4 and is batting .301.
