Brian Dozier got another leadoff home run because that's just what he does.
Let's hope Berrios takes a page of of Buxton's White Sox playbook.

It feels like even though he's got great stuff, opposing hitters are able to wait him out, then square up every single one of his "get me overs".
They say that hiring major league pitching is the hardest thing to do, but it's got to feel like the opposite to Berrios right now.
Angel Hernandez is such a vortex of suck that in the last two half-innings each team has had its third basemen miss a ball during warm-ups. And Hernandez has retrieved both balls and given them to young children)
And Cuthbert just dropped the around the horn throw after that Plouffe fly out.
When Buxton his the ball, good things happen.
I enjoyed Hosmer walking towards third base waving his hands to signal don't throw and then giving the wtf? look when the third baseman threw it anyway.
The instant it came off the bat, everyone knew it was a hit.
Except the third baseman, apparently.
When Dozier hits the ball, good things happen.
My goodness.
That ball was murdered
36 and 37 for Dozier. 40 is almost a gimme now.
He might get there today, the way he's been hitting.
Three second basemen have reached 40 home runs in a season. The record is Davey Johnson's 43.
Ryne Sandberg and Rogers Hornsby. AL record is Soriano's 39 in 2002. Second best is Soriano's 38 in 2003.
Okay, THAT is a bunt I can get behind
That changeup is looking pretty today.
Not so much that one.
Can't we sing some Pete Seeger or Woody Guthrie on Labor Day instead of God Bless America yet again?
Why do you hate America, DPWY?
I didn't stand until Take Me Out to the Ballgame started.
And since when are we supposed to remove our hats and put our hands over our hearts for a song other than the National Anthem?
Yeah, this constantly bothers me. "God Bless America" is a song, not an national anthem.
Around here, we're sometimes asked to stand at attention for "God Bless the U.S.A." It's a nice enough song and all, but I don't think even Lee Greenwood expects people to stand at attention for it.
And certainly doffing your cap is asking more than should be asked. I'll be happy to sing along to "God Bless America" (if I feel like it at the time), but asking anything else is imposing on fans for no real reason.
Brooks Pounders seriously sounds like a default Survivor name.
I came to make a Survivor joke. I took too long.
Bulldozed, again.
All three decks today. The only thing left is either out of the stadium or inside the park.

He has a great shot at setting the AL record.

Rogers Hornsby and a Bunch of Guys Named Joe
going into today, Dozier was slugging .559. That would place him very high on the all-time 2B list (Non-Hornsby Division).
It looks like Bret Boone's .578 is the AL record.
Dozier slugging .576 now on the season. He's slugging .763 since the All-Star break and .808 the last 30 days.
