We're gonna be cliche and grill today. I got a couple of 16 ounce sirloins salted yesterday and I'm going to make the smoky grilled potato salad from cooks country by America's test kitchen. Today could very well be a good day.
We're going to be equally cliche and go to the State Fair. We're looking forward to getting out of here; things have been testy and difficult between the Milkmaid and I - age-old character flaws are getting to their breaking points - but we do seem to be getting somewhere and are just ready for something fun to allow us to get out of this place for a few hours.
I assume this explains my near-total absence. A couple of people knew, and I thank them for the messages of support.
Good luck with all of it, man.
Best wishes, spoons.
Thinking of you, Milkman.
Best to you, Spooky.
Hang in there. You know that I and many others around here are here if you need us.
We went even more cliche and bought a new grill. (it has a light!)
Also grilling. Also sirloins. No special prep. Grilled Saturday and Sunday too. Citrus shrimp and veggies Sat., Burgers on Sun. I love this weekend.
Family Feast (Feeds 5-6) $50
A full slab of st. louis-style ribs, 1/2 herb roasted chicken, 1 lb. Char roasted sirloin and smoked sausage. Served with fresh cut fries, baked beans, broccoli bacon salad and corn bread muffins

We did this last night, with friends: Yolo Prime Sunday Family Feast
Philae: found.
Made it up to the Operations team fishing trip at Lake of the Woods. We're grilling...I'm drinking...
Good luck, spooky.
