I'm waiting for the Missus to get a shot that will hopefully releave the herniated disc she's been dealing with for the past year.
Drop your list.

That Into The Wild soundtrack is phenomenal, and that song is one of the standouts.
How's that LaMontagne album?
I don't have the LaMontagne album, but that song is among my favorites of his, and I adore him generally.
They used a Rateliff song on "Grey's Anatomy" last night. Best part of the episode.

Teenage Fanclub tomorrow at The Fine Line. Definitely the Dad Rock event of the Fall.
Found two more rare Guided By Voice EPs at Electric Fetus yesterday. Second time in 6 weeks that has happened.
So bummed about missing the Fanclub. (Stupid niece's wedding. 🙂 )
Took me a while to warm up to, but the new record is swell. Those guys are incapable of making a bad record.
Definitely needed that warm up period too. First time I was like maaaan, this is disappointing. 3rd time ears were perking up. Now I'm really digging it.

It sounds like you may need to redefine "rare."
Well rare in that they are over 20 years old, probably 2,500 or so copies pressed with no re-releases and fan base that doesn't typically give up old stuff or gobbled up quickly by people like me.
Not The Beatles "butcher shop" cover rare but a rarity.
I used to love finding EPs back when I was doing vinyl, and these make for nice "wall art"
This is my favorite:
*I haven't given this one as much of a chance yet, but it started to catch my ear the last time I listened to it.
"Here Comes the Rain Again" - The Eurythmics
"Sweet Home Chicago" - The Blues Brothers
"California Dreamin" - Bobby Womack
"Harvest Moon" - Neil Young
"Dont Dream Its Over" - Crowded House
"Darts of Pleasure" - Franz Ferdinand
"Fred Bear" - Ted Nugent
"At Last" - Etta James
"Auf Wiedersehen " - Cheap Trick
"Fallin " - Alicia Keys

Make me think of the KLF.
Picked up a bunch of new albums recently, included Bon Iver's (my first of his). I'm... still not sold.
A new album or just new to you?
yes.
Thanks for clarifying.
heh, sorry, i love that as much as other people hate it.
anyway, technically true, cause it's a yes on both counts. went nuts and got new bon, wilco, cave, jeffery, angel, and hamilton + rostam.
Yeah, ask someone versed in boolean logic an OR question and you're not going to like the answer
"just new to you" was the question, implied excluding "new album".
New album or Un-new album that still is new to you.
See, you're proving my point.
Order of I likeness:
01. Angel / Hamilton + Rostam
03. Cave
04. Bon
05. Jeffery*
06. Wilco
