LA GUAIRA 7, CARACAS 2 IN LA GUAIRA
La Guaira scored all of their runs in the first three innings, building a 7-0 lead with three in the first, three in the second, and one in the third. Heiker Meneses was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI for La Guaira.
ZULIA 3, ARAGUA 1 IN ZULIA
Wilson Garcia's RBI single in the eighth broke a 1-1 tie and Carlos Colmenares added an RBI double later in the inning for an insurance run. Reynaldo Rodriguez was 2-for-4 with a double and a run for Zulia.
LARA 5, MAGALLANES 2 IN LARA
Trailing 2-0 after five, Lara scored four in the sixth to go into the lead to stay. Luis Arraez was 2-for-4 for Magallanes.
MARGARITA 7, ANZOATEGUI 6 IN MARGARITA
Jose Osuna's two-run single in the bottom of the ninth gave Margarita the victory. Omar Bencomo pitched five innings, giving up one run on eight hits and no walks with two strikeouts. Niko Goodrum was 1-for-5 with a run and an RBI for Anzoategui.
DOMINICAN LEAGUE
AGUILAS 5, ESCOGIDO 3 IN ESCOGIDO
Aguilas scored four in the eighth to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 5-2 lead. Daniel Palka was 0-for-4 for Escogido.
LICEY 2, ESTRELLAS 0 IN ESTRELLAS
Anderson Hernandez singled in a run in the eighth to break a scoreless tie. Confesor Lara pitched a third of an inning for Estrellas, allowing a run on a hit and a walk.
TOROS 6, GIGANTES 5 AT GIGANTES
The Toros trailed 5-3 going to the ninth, but Carlos Franco tied it with a two-run double and scored on a Eugenio Velez single for the go-ahead run. Carlos Paulino was 0-for-4 for the Gigantes.
PUERTO RICAN LEAGUE
MAYAGUEZ 5, CAROLINA 0 IN MAYAGUEZ
Kennys Vargas' two-run double capped a four-run seventh that put Mayaguez ahead 5-0. Vargas was 1-for-2 with a double and two walks, driving in two. Nelson Molina was used as a defensive replacement for Mayaguez but did not bat. Dereck Rodriguez pitched 4.2 scoreless innings of relief, giving up just one hit and no walks with two strikeouts.
CAGUAS 3, AGUADILLA 1 IN CAGUAS
Caguas scored single runs in the second and third and never trailed.
MEXICAN LEAGUE
MEXICALI 9, OBREGON 1 IN MEXICALI
Ramon Rios hit a two-run homer in the first that gave Mexicali a lead they would not relinquish.
LOS MOCHIS 4, HERMOSILLO 3 IN HERMOSILLO
Isaac Rodriguez singled in a run in the seventh to break a 2-2 tie and Saul Soto homered in the eighth to make it 4-2.
JALISCO 5, MAZATLAN 1 IN MAZATLAN
Already leading 2-1, Jalisco scored five in the ninth to put the game out of reach.
NAVOJOA 3, CULIACAN 0 IN NAVOJOA
Navojoa scored two in the first and led all the way.
