I think half of famer is more than he deserves. I'd give him a quarter famer at most, but probably more like an eighth.
I don't know what you're talking about, it must not be Selig though.
Anyone following the Wild closely this year? I admit they are way down on my radar, partly to a busier life and partly due to them playing the same time as the Wolves a lot and my interests shift towards basketball. I see Dubnyk has 4 shutouts already, but the team is a roughly .500 team. (11-8-4 mind as well be 11-12 because 1 point losses are dumb)
I haven't watched a minute for the first time since 2008
I've probably seen about 20 minutes total spread over 4 or 5 games. It seems like the exact same team as years past: the vets are decent but not spectacular; the first line is not as good as most other teams'; none of the young guys have improved much from 3 years ago; the TV broadcasters are completely awful homers.
the TV broadcasters are completely awful homers.
Part of the reason I don't make Wild my priority. For being the "State of Hockey", we should do have some lousy tv hockey announcers (Gopher broadcasts are a chore to listen too)
Bob Kurtz and Tom Reid are great, but I don't have a Wild affiliate radio station that broadcasts all the games near me.
I watch a lot of games on DVR-delay so I can skip commercials and the inane and mind-numbing (see: horrid) television crew.
Also, DPWY's assessment is mostly accurate. The biggest problem with both the top line and youngsters isn't their quality relative to other squads, it's their inconsistency. There is a lot of talent in the room, but it seems like Boudreau's still implementing his system (they're still learning it) and figuring out what motivates these fellas.
It's a shame, too, because Dubnyk is having a great season (second in GAA, first in point shares, which as I understand it is sort of a very rough version of baseball's Win Shares for Hockey, which means that Dubnyk is one of the most valuable players in hockey)... and his record is 9-9.
Anyone checked in on Rows since last night and made sure he's alright?
I made the mistake of using a can of crushed tomatoes instead of whole or chopped, so it was too tomatoey. But still delicious.
The roasted eggplant definitely added depth and mouth feel.
Looks good. I just finished eating, but reading that almost made me hungry again.
It was very good. I don't think anyone missed not having meat in the sauce.
Minor modifications: I used only white mushrooms; I used closer to 1.5 cups of diced carrot; and about a cup of whole milk rather than the almond milk.
The shrug is a half of famer.

?? What is this about, Rhu?
Penn State comeback
Mmmm, mushroom bolognese.

Twins sign Ben Paulsen to minor league deal. OF/IB with MLB experience. Most likely bench/organizational depth.
