I really can't beat last night as an experience. The Senators history on the walls at the suite level was cool enough, and enjoying a suite with the Milkmaid was something I didn't think we would ever do. To have that ending when we had the suite largely to ourselves, though, was just too much. They were corporate tickets and the herd had thinned, leaving just the five or six real baseball fans. I can't believe I ended up at both this game and the Dozier comeback before the all-star break in 2015.
Don't think I've ever been to a walk off homer. Closest was Ryan Doumit's walk off double
I was at a walk-off walk. Torii Hunter got the winning RBI at the dome.
I was at Target Field when Thome launched the first walk off home run at the stadium. Started out behind home plate in 3rd level. We had moved to the the left field SRO area when he hit it. Good times!
The wife and I were watching on TV. I can't tell you how nice it was to see Joe Mauer really having fun playing baseball again. That's the kind of win that can keep a team riding high for a week.

This take didn't age well.
I can totally understand why spending quality time in a suite with your wife would be better than meeting me.
From a baseball perspective, nothing will top that 2015 weekend for me. That game has the bad middle innings, but that comeback was so cool. Adding the absolute bonkers Madison Mallards game the next day that featured a half inning with two grand slams and still ended in a walk off and it was my most memorable baseball weekend ever.
I've been to at least two walk offs, both in extras.
The Prince Fielder inside the parker game at the Dome. Morneau hit a HR in the bottom of the 10th.
Pujols hit one in the 12th or 13th at Old Busch for the Cards in 2003 I was at too. (Edit: I think it was this one.
I don't even want to think about how many I might have been at, because He Who Shall Not Be Named.
The Twins to equal last year's record would have to lose 25 games in a row.
That is quite a turnaround.
Yes. Almost as spectacular as last year's collapse.
Yeah, we really should be comparing this season to 2015 if we want apples-to-apples
I've been spending too much time on BBR.com lately, and this caught my eye. Fifth in the AL at 1.5 wins above average. Not too shabby.
The numbers under "3B" seem to have a lot to do with that.
Even the 1B number is pretty good. Negative, but barely, and the league first base numbers are remarkably low.
When I first clicked on the team highlighter that jumped right out from the pack.
1) watching Guardians of the Galaxie 2 beats watching today's ballgame from what I see
2) 25 freakin' minutes of trailers. Seriously
So I don't need to show up at 9:15 sharp tomorrow morning?
(I'm really pumped for this. The first one was really my favorite marvel thing. I don't really expect it to be as good as the first, but that's OK. I just want to spend more time with these characters.)
Bring a hanky 😉
We showed up 5-10 minutes after start time, and still saw plenty of trailers. And that was even on a 3D showing, which often has fewer than normal.
And, it was awesome, and yes, bring a hanky. I was expecting it wouldn't live up to number one, but for me it certainly did. Made me want to watch volume 1 again, too.
What gets me about trailers is that I truly enjoy them, but man, there's a limit. I loathe the commercials that aren't trailers.
Luckily, it's not really my problem now. At $80 or so for four hours of a sitter, plus $10/ticket (conservatively), my wife and I can purchase a lot of movies to stream in my home with no mandatory trailers.
just sat down at local theatre to watch gotg2. nibbish... have u been in the remodeled theatre?? I am fully recliner and still there is 3 ft between my shoes one the next row. seems like the wasted a bit of space here.
I haven't been in the recliners yet, but a friend sent me a picture. It does look pretty great, but I did wonder about wasted space and how the ticket price might try to compensate for fewer tickets sold.
The recliners are amazing and, at least down here, prices didn't change. I'm sitting in one right now and I only paid $5 for it.
On that note, these seats and being able to purchase a specific array have made going to the movies so much better. I love that I can get a good spot without having to show up, love, an hour early.
And order a(n overpriced) meal!
And a beer!
I did that once just because. But man, spotted cow is not worth $10.
The joke we always tell the boys at the rare movies we go to is once the trailers are finally done, we look at them and ask, "What movie are we watching?"
Today's Twins lineup sported an average .261 BA and .784 OPS.
Not that this is a murderer's row, but batting stats tend to be a bit lower in April, early May, IIRC. Right now there are 10 teams hitting .240 or worse and tge Twins are 10th in wOBA.
The trademark isn't official yet, but other day when Sano hit his homer over the batter's eye, Mrs. Twayn christened him the Sanobot™, engineered to crush baseballs long distances.
More like Sanobite, the hellraiser of opponents pitching

Big League Stew on last night.
