  1. I'd prefer to not have more of my last night. I had a gun stuck in my face and my bike robbed from me. I fought the guy for a hot minute before it kicked I that he was pointing a gun at me, and then just let him take my Cadillac. Making this more difficult is that it happened on my stoop. So, yeah. No more of those please.

      1. A man and his little boy walked by as the police were interviewing me about this incident. The boy was carrying a brightly colored toy gun, and as he approached the police he held his hands up and said to the police, "it's okay, this is only a fake gun". Jesus. That is also weighing heavy this morning.

        1. Oh man, that sucks all around. Similar to Jeff, I'm glad to hear you're ok and I hope you get your bike back in one piece. More importantly, I hope you're able to feel safe again.

      1. Dido to the degree. Glad you are ok, and hoping that the impact will not be long-lasting.

    1. Yuck. Relieved to hear that turned out without any unnatural holes in you.

        1. LeBron's team has won an NBA record 13 straight playoff games. Ten this year and three to end last year.

            1. playoffs don't count for MVP vote.

this is like giving the MVP to Not MJ in 1992-93. I mean, sure, Charles Barkley had a good year, buuuuuut.

Or giving the MVP to Not Barry Bonds in 2000. I mean, sure, Jeff Kent had a good year, buuuuut.

              1. Isn't it the media that votes on these things? Many of them vote for the best story.

    1. It's been an easy, workmanlike walk toward the Finals repeat we all wanted to see anyway. This is becoming our Celtics-Lakers, which is odd since these teams were DOA for much of my youth.

  2. Twins game has officially been postponed. A straight doubleheader is scheduled tomorrow. Ticket information will be released soon.

  3. This also happened yesterday. I've interacted with this dude dozens of times as I work near the spot he usually sets up. Friends of friends were tight with him, and there was no hint of violence to him. It was a crazy day.

    1. Considering the murder he's suspected of happened 40 years ago, I wouldn't be too surprised that the guy is a different person than he was then.

  4. From David Schoenfield:

Anyway, diving into some of the metrics, I don’t see Santana doing anything different. He’s still fastball/slider/changeup, same velocity, same everything. Just a guy with a low BABIP and Byron Buxton behind him.
