I was at the 2001 also. My friend is a huge A's fan and he wanted to go. I remember by about the 7th inning of game 2 I was pretty baseball'd out. Too much time in the Dome. Now if was a nice day at Target Field I would probably go.
I may have felt that way but thr Twins were good for the first time in 9 years. I was pretty jazzed to watch good baseball
The second game had a late comeback, which made the day an overall success. I was there for the entirety of the event.
If I recall some no name player Mientkiewicz who had been batting over .400 early on had some heroics
I'm having trouble understanding the concept of "too much baseball".
Saw GOTG2 yesterday with the Mrs.
Good summertime flick. If you are looking for a deep plot, why are you at a superhero movie to begin with?
We're just back from Alien, and I found it enjoyable (if that's the right word...).
I was at the 2001 event. That was fun. Lot of people left after the first game. Heard one guy say, "That's too much baseball for one day."
Apparently it was "negotiated" by a panel of players as the Twins are already over their double header limit per the CBA.
