I know Brian Dozier is hitting better than last year, and also batting average is not everything, but he is batting .237 and still leading off and on basing at a 332 clip.
Right after I posted that Dozier gets an RBI hit!
Solo home runs dont hurt.
calling it a night. I'll have to check in the morning if Gimenez picks up a win
Wow. That pitch was right on the corner. It was up, sure, but to Mike Zunino and he hits it out to right-center. Unbelievable.
Since he had 2 home runs, including the walk-off in the ninth, Zunino had a 1.031 WPA for this game. The M's had a 4.7% win expectancy when they had 2 outs and none on base in the ninth.
That one is going to sting for a while. Here's a feel-better stat for you. We're basically 1/3 of the way through the season and Sano has 15 home runs and 46 RBIs. And of course an OPS of 1.029. His ISOp is over .300.
