Hector Santiago back on the mound for the Twins as they try to even the series against the Red Sox. Drew Pomeranz for the Red Hosers.
I thought this was an interesting statistic from the Twin's David Morse:
In games since 1961, the Twins and Red Sox are all square: 307-307. Twins at home: 177-130; Red Sox at home: 177-130.
So today is the rubber match! 6:10 opening pitch.
Oh goodie, a second rain delay.
Provus brought up the head-to-head record last night.
Love the tilt-shift photography; not a fan of Sox home runs
I'm a fan of tilt-shift. All those little models.
I love "The Sandpit"
If there's one thing we didn't need, it's to have to pull our starter early because of rain.
Well the Florida pitcher is dealing against LSU. Two hitter through 6 innings. Only 72 pitches. Gators up 2-0.
So for some reason FL changed pitchers and dude promptly gives up three straight hits. LSU challenging in the 7th.
Florida relievers playing with fire but maintain 2-1 lead. After 8.
Gators break it open in bottom of 8th and win College World Series 6-1.

Im going to wake up in the morning , look at the box score, and see Chris Gimenez pitched at least one inning.
Nope, but Blaine Boyer and Fernando Abad did.
Well, it could have been worse. Obviously, the score was bad, but the Twins' bullpen pitched 6 innings but didn't have to use Duffey, Rogers or Kinzler, the only 3 relievers you can really trust with a lead right now. Were the Red Sox rubbing it in our faces by throwing Boyer and Abad for 4 innings?
