A couple of good days for Twins in the Venezuelan League.
VENEZUELAN LEAGUE
Twins: Willians Astudillo (Anzoategui) was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Gregorio Petit (Caracas) was 2-for-4 with two runs.
LARA 8, ZULIA 0 IN LARA
Lara scored three in the second and scored in each inning from the second through the sixth. Carlos Rivero was 3-for-4 with a double. Jorge Martinez struck out six in six innings, giving up three hits and three walks.
Lara leads the series 2-0.
MAGALLANES 7, ANZOATEGUI 6 IN MAGALLANES
Magallanes scored four in the seventh to tie the score 6-6. With one out in the ninth Rayder Ascanio hit a walk-off homer to win it. Ascanio was 2-for-4 with a double in addition to the home run. Alberth Martinez was 2-for-4 with a home run. Jesus Valdez was 1-for-2 with a triple and a walk, driving in four.
Magallanes tied the series 1-1.
CARACAS 7, ARAGUA 5 IN CARACAS
Caracas scored three in the third and three in the fifth to build a 6-1 lead. Jesus Aguilar was 3-for-4 with a home run and a double, driving in four. For Aragua, Jose Vargas was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer.
Caracas leads the series 2-0.

DOMINICAN LEAGUE
AGUILAS 6, GIGANTES 3 AT AGUILAS
Trailing 3-1, the Aguilas scored five in the seventh to win. Edwin Espinal was 3-for-4. For the Gigantes, Hanser Alberto was 1-for-4 with a two-run homer. Evan MacLane pitched five innings, giving up one run on five hits and two walks and striking out one.
LICEY 10, ESCOGIDO 7 IN ESCOGIDO
Licey scored two in the fifth to break a 1-1 tie and scored six in the sixth to take control of the game. Escogido scored three in the seventh and three in the ninth to make the final score look better. For Licey, Emilio Bonifacio was 3-for-3 with a double and two walks. Juan Francisco was 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Lisalverto Bonilla struck out seven in five innings, giving up one run on five hits and a walk.
