  2. I have to confess that I've started somewhat following the Vikings again lately. I haven't seen much of their games (some, but not a lot because of being busy, mostly), but I've been checking standings and things like that. Yesterday, I looked up playoff prediction stuffs, and laughed and laughed because whichever site I looked at (Sports Illustrated maybe?) favored the Vikings to win it all. You'd think football prognosticators would know something about football, but clearly that is not the case.

    1. I've been watching and rooting for them too in spite of myself. Not with a passion I root for the Twins; if they win it all I don't even know if I'll get excited. But I'm watching.

  3. This is the first year I didn't do fantasy football since 1996 and I don't miss it at all.
    I still watch NFL and still follow the Vikings, but have pretty much stopped obsessively following the news for both.

    1. Played fantasy football from 1992 to 2010. Don't miss it either. Frustrating more than fun and sucked so much of my weekends.

  5. Never double skunked or been double skunked except in 4 player cribbage. Just beat my dad 122-64. So close. Having two cribs over 16 helped (both had five face cards).

      1. Just notched my 1100th win on Cribbage Pro (1950 games played), with 2/3rds of those matches in Challenging Mode, and the rest in Brutal Mode. Only play Brutal now.

        I have skunked the computer 186 times and Double skunked the computer twice. Been skunked 114 times but never double skunked.

        In Cribbage League before holidays, my partner and I double skunked the other team in the first game, then skunked them in the second game, then we were skunked in the 3rd game. So weird.

    2. Weather, like most everything else, isn't real unless it happens in New York-Boston-Philly, etc.
