Twins:  Logan Wade (Brisbane) was 1-for-3 with a walk.  Aaron Whitefield (Brisbane) was 0-for-1.

ADELAIDE 8, MELBOURNE 1 IN MELBOURNE

Adelaide scored three in the first and five in the ninth.  Kuan-Jen Chen was 3-for-5 with a grand slam, his fifth homer.  Ryo Koura struck out eight in 5.2 innings, giving up one run on six hits and a walk.  For Melbourne, Matthew Larkins struck out seven in seven innings, giving up three runs (one earned) on eight hits.

CANBERRA 7, SYDNEY 1 IN SYDNEY

Canberra broke a scoreless tie with three in the fourth and led the rest of the way.  Kyle Perkins was 3-for-4 with a double and a walk.  Brian Grening pitched eight innings, giving up one run on seven hits and a walk and striking out seven.  For Sydney, Michael Suchy hit a home run, his fifth.

PERTH 15, BRISBANE 5 IN BRISBANE

Perth scored seven in the fourth to take an 8-0 lead.  No box score was available.  For Perth, Garrett Whitley hit a home run, his sixth.  Tim Kennelly hit a home run, his fifth.  Luke Hughes hit a home run, his tenth.  Jake Fraley hit a home run, his eleventh.  For Brisbane, Mitch Nilsson hit a home run, his seventh.  T. J. Bennett hit a home run, his thirteenth.

PUERTO RICAN LEAGUE

CAGUAS 4, SANTURCE 2 IN CAGUAS

David Vidal doubled home a run in the fifth to break a 2-2 tie.  Vidal was 3-for-4 with a double.  For Santurce, Fernando Cruz pitched six innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on seven hits and two walks and striking out two.

MAYAGUEZ 7, CAROLINA 5 IN CAROLINA (11 INNINGS)

Mayaguez scored three in the eleventh to break a 4-4 tie.  Sadly, the Puerto Rican League is using the goofy "start with men on first and second" rule starting with the eleventh inning.  Joshua Torres pitched 3.1 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and striking out three.  For Carolina, Irving Falu was 3-for-5 with a double.  Julio Rodriguez pitched three innings, giving up one run on one hit and four walks and striking out one.
