Gosh has this been a tight and even match. First team to make a mistake is going to lose.
another great match.
Yeah. I didn't see that coming.
I mean, I knew it was a remote possibility, but I didn't think it would happen.
Still not sure what the losing team was doing on that last shot.
I went back and checked out the replay: she was trying to hit half of the opponents rock to drive it into her rock and get the other opponents rock out while keeping that one in. The first opponent rock would roll out of the four foot without hitting their rock on the back of the four foot, resulting in two points and victory.
any recommendations on external optical drives? Looks like my desktop (HP Pavilion, several years old) has USB 2.0? My laptop, presumably, has USB 3.0
or is there a known problem with recent Windoze 10 updates that would interfere with an optical drive? It is not recognizing a disk being inserted (doesn't spin up; the Device Manager thinks everything is Just Fine but that there is no disk present)
I can assist you. First smash the looms, second ???, third profit.
so, my local tech consultant recommended an LG. It's a USB 2.0, but I think will work fine. And available to me today at my local Spookystore.
Slimline, quiet, seems a little flimsy, but should be adequate for my needs.
The Mrs., on the other hand, may not be as happy. The ingress/egress of disks is clumsier than in the internal drive. She burns a whole lotta disks every year (picture slideshows for the parents at her preschool). Oh, well. π
$32 out the door. A little more expensive than the USB 3.0 model I was looking at on the Bezos, but I would have had to wait until Monday to start working on my taxes. Yea, taxes.
Note, a USB 3 DVD drive is a waste, that's why it uses USB 2.0. The absolute fastest DVD drives max out under ideal circumstances at 21 MB/s. USB 2.0 can pretty easily do 40 MB/s. The extra cost of USB 3 doesn't gain you anything so it's not used.
Thanks, Sean. That definitely makes me feel better about the purchase.
Good first inning for Fernando Romero today (third inning for the Twins). 2 strikeouts and a groundout against 3 major leaguers.
6 up, 6 down for Romero, all against pretty much the O's regular lineup. 3 Ks, 2 groundouts, 1 lineout (Machado). He's done for the day.
So, new orleans can be a wild and violent city, but the neighborhoods tend to be ... neighborhoods for lack of better. There are a lot of air b n b's around my house because money, but last night some drunk dipshits tried to get into my house. They started pounding on the door, tried the lock and then kicked the door until I opened it and scared the shit out of them. They very quickly got the idea that they were at the wrong house, but refused to acknowledge that they might have caused some alarm. People regularly get themselves into trouble in this town late at night (because wasted), but these folks got very lucky it was me and not my other neighbor who might have shot first and asked questions later. This morning when I confronted them about their incredibly stupid behavior they just shrugged their shoulders and said 'meh'. Eff air b n b.
Gold Medal Game, women's curling.
Anyone else watching? Should I spoiler. Everyone should be awake.
Korea's magic wearing out? Great showing for the east Asian teams here, but with the kind of dominance they showed in the round-robin, I think they really want the gold.
yeah, i think this one is pretty much done.
I've gotta put some kids to bed. I've paused it and will watch the rest when they're in bed.
Throwing 95% on draws and 90% on hits as a team will do that.
Cut to commercial right before Korea decides to concede. Cut back to jumping up and down Swedes.
Nice of the announcers to point out Annette Norberg in the crowd though. I don't really look to see faces and my feed's been grainy.
I think it's been less that their magic team of and more that Hasselborg is throwing lights out.
I don't know if it was great hockey, but it was great excitement.
Poor Germany. Soooo close. Really, you have a power play for the last 2 minutes of the game and can't close it out? Damn.
What a week/weekend for us . The daughter's hockey team took 3rd place in the State of Hockey State tournament . Watched the USA women win Gold after our first victory. Stopped, after our win today, in St. Cloud to watch our boys upset Sartell in Section semi finals. Drive home on unplowed roads... really??? Found about 8-10 inches in my driveway and just finished snow blowing for the first time this year. Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed.
Does anyone else think it's kinda
pretentiouslazy for ESPN to include playoff percentage in their preseason standings? If you haven't watched it yet, the Gold Medal Men's curling match is being broadcast on NBC.

Here's what I got.
Sounds like you need a new drive anyway.

This GER-OAR hockey is crazy.
