...Thome's homer five miles long...
... Piranhas gonna run all night, gonna run all day...
I'll spend no money on good players, somebody sign an old Ray.
I'll be away for a few days, as my Dad is in the hospital. He has a few issues going on, all treatable, but on the other hand he's ninety-six and was not exactly robust going into this. Any prayers you'd like to give would be appreciated.
You and your family are in our prayers.
You've (and he's) got 'em.
Best wishes, Padre.
I made Kenji Lopez-Alt's 64-ingredient (approx.) meatloaf recipe.
I made some small changes (no gelatin, half-n-half instead of buttermilk, miso instead of marmite, anchovy paste instead of anchovies, and multigrain bread instead of white bread).
It was easily the best meatloaf I have ever made. Probably in the top three I have ever eaten. Totally worth the extra effort (and not that much extra effort). Tender, but holds together well. Huge, meaty, complex flavor. Nobody eating it would know it has "weird" ingredients.
Mmm, meatloaf. (This is the best meatloaf I have ever made.)
Yea, that looks pretty awesome.
I've always been fascinated by the concept of plank grilling, but my Minnesota frugality is put off by the single-use nature of planks.
I've done it twice and still have the same plank since it's not direct heat, if that helps convince you.
I also plan to try j. Kenji's recipe as well because that does look delicious.
What do you do to prepare the used plank? Just turn it over?
I just used the same side. I mean, maybe I should have used a new one, but I'm frugal.
Yeah, you can turn it over, but the salmon will fall off.
